1970's style washing machine that works great

Remember when people bought washing machines because they wanted to have clean clothes? My Speed Queen reminds me of the good washing machines from the 70's and 80's. I put my clothes in, I choose how much water I want to use, and my clothes come out very clean. I love my agitator! I love my Speed Queen washer and dryer.

Terrible!! Worst washer machine we ever owned. Does not wash the clothes properly. We have tried every cycle and clothes still come out dirty. We only had it for two months and already had two technicians out to try to fix the machine, but couldn't fix the problem. Does not clean the clothes and leaves fabric softener all over the clothes. Requested a new machine or a refund and continue to get a run around from Speed Queen!

Bought this model 8 months ago. It needed to be replaced after 8 weeks of modest (3-4 loads)per week. The tub started leaking 4 weeks ago along with multiple other issues making the machine unusable. We are now on our 3rd machine. Don’t buy this model!

Best doesn't mean perfect

Best top load, USA washer made today. Improvement suggestions: 1. Move the drain trap to the washer front, add an easy access door for the cleanup procedure. 2. Either pack an instruction book or an abbreviated "quick guide" with the washer. To make the owner have to request and wait weeks for an instruction book is not best in class.

Poor Engineering

Lid lock assembly on base is pitiful for such an expensive product. I've just replaced the bezel that broke off a month ago. Last week the lid stopped releasing correctly until you bang on machine.

Bought the matching washer / dryer set based off reviews and real world experience of some acquaintances. Unfortunately both have failed and needed repair within the first couple months of ownership. I never had any problems in the past with lesser brands. I will not be recommending Speed Queen going forward.

Speed Queen Exceeds Exceptions/Exceptional product

When my washing machine died after 4 years we were forced to go to a laundromat. We noticed all the machines were Speed Queens. My first thought was with all the use these machines were taking, day in and day out why not Speed Queen? The other thing we noticed was our closes were washed better. So we set out to purchase one. The Speed Queen that I recently purchased has more than meet my exceptions. It's such a quite machine, my close are cleaner and they spin out so well that they are almost dry. It saves me on the use of my dryer.I also like the Auto Fill and Normal ECO friendly features that it has, along with the stainless steel drum. Best of all the 10 year warranty given with the product makes me feel that they will stand by there product and me if something goes wrong. I would totally recommend this product to friends and family anytime. Thanks for making such a great product.
