Thank you for your message. I'm sorry you are disappointed in your Speed Queen washer. I'd like to try and resolve your concerns. We had new government requirements that we had to comply with, so we created the Normal ECO cycle. This cycle will only provide cold water and only give a spray rinse, thus saving water and energy. We don't recommend this for anything that's particularly dirty. Our regular cycle is the Heavy Duty cycle - that and all the other cycles will provide hot, warm or cold water and a full tub rinse. We feel that's going to give you better results. We also have an option for the Load Size called Autofill. This is an excellent choice because it will provide enough water to cover the clothes and give the best agitation action between the clothes, water and agitator. It could be possible, if you've selected the Large load size, that your clothes are actually just floating on the top of the water, not getting the cleaning action required. Your machine also has great options for the extra dirty clothes. You can choose the Pre Wash which provides an additional agitation. You can choose the Soak option which you can program for up to 24 hours and then it will go right into whichever cycle you choose. And you also have a Special Cycle for Super Soiled clothes that might help you.

We find the best way to start your laundry is to open the lid, pour the detergent in the bottom of the tub, close the lid and start your cycle. This action will start the water coming in so that the detergent chemicals get released in the water. you only need to do this for 30-60 seconds to be effective. Then you can lift the lid and load your clothing.
