Broke the first day!

I really was excited to get this washer. It worked great for 2 loads, but then
would not work on cold water. I called the customer service number and they gave me the number of a repair person close by. The repairman came out and found it to be the main electronic board on the washer. They have it ordered and will come and fix it tomorrow. I don't know how to really give an honest review as they have been responsive to my issues, but makes me worry if this will be a constant issue of breaking down. So for now it is a guarded review.

Faulty Circuitry

I purchased this washer because I was convinced that it is especially well-made and dependable. But I have yet to use it, because an error code keeps indicating "leak detected." After paying for my plumber to come (he found nothing), the service man came from the appliance store and said it needs a whole new circuit. This is a brand new washer! Now I will have a "new" washing machine with replacement parts in it. This does not bode well for the longevity and dependability of the washer I paid so much for.

Not what I was expecting!

The wash quality is horrible. I liked my other washer before this one, it did a way better job. My clothes seem to come out with stains or dirty still and I am not one to overload my washer. I was hoping the quality would be better for the price you pay. The cost of the machine is more than other washers. It is a quiet machine. I am not that satisfied with the purchase.

The worst experience ever

My Speed Queen was installed a month ago and has never worked. I am getting the run around from Speed Queen who insist they can fix it. But a brand new washing machine should not need a fix. I should get a replacement but the company won’t do the right thing. I am so disappointed and frustrated.

In March 2021 I purchased my first Speed Queen based on the recommendation of a repairman. I was told they had one of the best warranties and were very reliable machines. The machine was delivered and installed by Hallocks. The very first load I ran after delivery resulted in a Ub error code. This happened several times (I have pics and videos) when the machine got to the spin cycle. Hallocks had the delivery team come out to the house to see if the machine was balanced properly on install. It was and they stated something was wrong with the machine. Hallocks proceeded to tell me that they would have to have my brand new machine serviced. This was unacceptable to me because I expected a brand new machine, especially one that was expensive, to not have any problems requiring service. After 3 weeks of very aggravating conversations with Hallocks, the machine mysteriously started functioning properly without anymore error codes. It was initially hooked up incorrectly with the hot and cold water reversed; so I don't know if moving the machine by the delivery team to fix that issue somehow corrected the off balance sensor. This was not the smooth transaction I thought it would be. It was disappointing that after buying what I thought was one of the best, there were problems. My experience was that you better pray that all goes well, because if there is a problem, it will involve a lot of time, frustration and energy to try to resolve it. The machine seems to be working okay now. I just hope it continues to do so.

Love the Dryer; however, I have issues with the washer...tried different settings and not filling detergent to the line because the detergent is not dispensed properly. Often my clothes will need to be washed three to four times with extra rinsing because liquid detergent is concentrated on certain fabrics.

However, we can provide tips on avoiding undissolved fabric softener/detergent: Detergent should be placed directly in the washtub prior to loading clothing articles in an effort to achieve optimal wash performance. Concentrated products such as high efficiency detergents and fabric softener dissolve best in hot or warm temperatures and with a sufficient amount of water.
