Probably the best washer made. Excellent cleaning. It both looks and feels solid. So far it appears to be gentle on clothing which is great for an agitator washer. Quiet while washing but nosier than our previous front loaders of another brand while filling. Its much easier to use than a fussier front loader with the tendency to have mildew mold problems.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So So for the price

Both of these machines are less than a year old and we have had issues with both. Currently, I have been waiting for parts to fulfill a warranty request on the washer for almost a month now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Will it last as long as the Whirlpool?

Our 22 year old Whirlpool Gold washer kicked the bucket. We replaced it and the dryer with the much hyped Speed Queen, top of the line models. After a month’s use we can say that our clothes have been satisfactorily washed and dried. The washer is as quiet, or quieter, than the Whirlpool (the dryer is louder). Although no one else really sees our laundry room, our first impression is that this laundry pair looks a little on the cheap side…like an entry level washer and dryer. We can get over that. Our largest complaint is that the “end of cycle” signal, at top volume, is totally ineffective. Our former washer and dryer had a buzzer which could be heard anywhere in the house - regardless of whether laundry door was closed or the TV was on. Speed Queen’s loudest beep can only be heard if laundry room door is open and there is zero noise in the house. Not acceptable. I guess we will get used to checking to see if the cycle is over. We do hope these are as reliable and long lasting as advertised. If not, they will not have been worth the premium price.

TR7 washer

We love our new washer! The settings are easy to set and lock in favorites. The machine is quiet and since it is in the mud room we cannot hear it at all, which that is a very nice. The old washer was a front loader and the spin cycle along with all of the normal wash cycles you could hear. It was a LG washer product that we were not a fan of. Now the grass is greener with out TR7! The clothes smell great and feel clean when switching into the dryer, every time as it should. Thank you Speed Queen for making a quality machine and we are customers for life.
