This out performs the Maytag by leaps and bounds just wish it came with a clear lid.

Great washer!

There are many options to select to wash your load of clothes. The wash completes in a timely manner. We had a front load washer before this one that rebalanced the load a lot and took over an hour to finish the wash.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Went through a local dealer. Dryer had a crooked door and first load made the stainless steel drum look like a coating came off. Hard to describe but dealer was willing to change it but said it'll happen again. Since I like my new things new and not taken apart only to end up in the same place, I opted to see if it gets worse. Then we will revisit it.
The door was changed and was worse. It also had a small dent. Now many people would say, "Who cares. It's a dryer." but we have it in a main floor bathroom and besides we bought Speed queen for the quality in hopes it lasts years longer than other brands. The dealer ordered a frame and another door but again, I don't like brand new things torn apart so I suggested just trying the new door before taking the front apart. It ended up looking great with no need to change the frame.
That was cosmetic. The dryer worked great from day one.
No problems with the washer. I was worried about the "power of water" being good enough but it is "good enough". I wanted the traditional agitator version but my wife didn't. Hasn't blown my socks off but no complaints either. It's nice and seems well built.
Overall, I'd recommend them. Only way to know if it was worth the extra money is how they hold up. My wife says she loves them.

Kind of disappointed

I had my washer for 6 months when the drain pump went out. The door sensor didn't work because I set something on the lid. Apparently, they are flimsy and you can't set anything down on them. Then the float wasn't working right. All of this happened at once. It took the service man several attempts to get everything working again. So glad I had a warranty
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use, super quiet! Everything about it is of high quality! Nothing in my Speed Queen gets tangled or wrinkled. All speeds and selections are accurate … from heavy duty selections to delicate and hand wash. The extra selections are handy and I do use them . My clothes, towels, sheets, sweaters, and hand wash come out perfectly. Worth the investment! And the best: it’s made in the USA!

Machine is very durable and I love how fast it washes clothes. I do not like the washer panel board not turning off when the load is done. I have to turn the power button off and my machine has a clicking sound every time I wash. Makes the machine noisy.

Absolutely love my new Speed Queen! It's easy to use, quiet but most importantly does a fantastic job cleaning our clothes. I was concerned because it wasn't as large a capacity as my previous washer but because of the way it's designed and built that has not been an issue. It works so well that clothes dry faster as well. It's worth the investment we made and I can't imagine ever purchasing anything but a Speed Queen in the future.
