The washer is quiet, very quiet. Did I say quiet? The new method of pushing the water thru the clothes keep the washer quiet. You don't hear that loud wishy sound like in other washer. You have to walk uop to it to hear it. It is a pleasant, calming sound. We have only one problem that occurred recently. We found small drops of water splatters on the inside of the washer. It seems to drip slowly from beneath the rim. We will be calling support to address this issue. We bought the machine in 8/2022. We love the different setting and how are clothing is cleaned. We are very very satisfied at this time, except for the internal tub dripping.

Very Happy with purchase

After having a front loading washer for over 10 years, it finally died and I found myself looking for a replacement. I knew I didn't want the Front loading washer anymore and wanted to go back to the tradition Top loading washer with a center agitator. I put out a notice on my neighborhoods FB page asking what washers my neighbors were using that they were happy with. The vast majority replied that they had Speed Queen Washers and Dryers and that they were extremely happy with them. I have to be honest and say that I had never heard of Speed Queen at all! I did my research and found that Speed Queens are very highly rated but cost more than most washers and dryers. They are also made in America and have a great warranty as well. I can say that I am very happy so far (1 month) with my decision to purchase the Speed Queen Washer and Dryer. I definitely like the fact that I can now wash a load of clothes in way less than 1.5 hours and still have cleaner clothes than with the front loading washer I had before!

Too small

We like the performance of the machine, but it is disappointingly too small. It has less than 3/4 of the capacity as our previous machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi, Stjean. We’re thrilled the performance is living up to expectations! While we’re not sure the type of washing machine you had before, our top load washers provide more water than other brands and are comparable to most 4.5 cu. Ft. HE washers as far as how much can be washed inside the tub. The tub can be filled up with items, loosely not packed in, up to the 3rd hole from the top with dry laundry – or a maximum of 16lbs of dry clothes. Generally, we just advise against king size comforters. Super quiet. Clothes get clean and are treated gently; not a tangled mess. I like the many different cycles and the wash/rinse temperature options. I like the autofill option as well.

Works well, easy to use, gets clothes clean

I've only had the SpeedQueen TR7 for a few weeks, so I can't speak to durability yet. But it works well, is fairly intuitive to use, and seems to clean my clothes fine. I've intentionally put in clothes with untreated stains to see if they will come out on the Perm Press cycle, and they do. I don't get my clothes super-dirty on a daily basis - if I did, I might have gone with the TC5 instead, which is a more aggressive washer with an old-fashioned agitator. The TR7 sort of sweeps water back and forth through your clothes, which is gentler on fabrics. The real reason I got this machine is durability, and if it lasts me 15-20 years like the marketing copy says it will, then it will have been worth the higher upfront cost. Oh, there's also a great warranty w/ this machine - just make sure you have a service provider in your area that does SQ warranty work.
