This is smaller load capacity than we were used to. It also seems to leave detergent “grease” marks. We have been trying to wash smaller loads and less soap. So far not quite what I expected with all of the hype.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We appreciate your feedback and value your concerns.
Please make sure you are putting the detergent into the tub and not on top of the agitator which is for fabric softener only.
We find the best way to start your laundry is to open the lid, pour the detergent in the bottom of the tub, close the lid and start your cycle. This action will start the water coming in so that the detergent chemicals get released in the water. You only need to do this for 30-60 seconds to be effective. Then you can lift the lid and load your clothing.

We absolutely love our new washer! It fills with water to completely cover the clothing instead of simply wetting it then beating it to death like other new washers do. We returned a brand new so-called “deep fill” Maytag for this reason. It’s fast, quiet, cleans very well, spins out the water effectively and doesn’t wear out our clothes. The only drawback for us is the smaller capacity, specifically that it can’t wash a king sized comforter. I was told not to even try it, so I have not. Otherwise, it’s a great machine!

The washer is great so quiet I forget I have it on and also no shaking . The only thing I think maybe speed queen should do is make the alert sound when wash done louder this alert on now is so low I don't think anyone any age could hear it . I love my washer and dryer :)

Asked on Facebook for a replacement washer suggestion and the overwhelming response was Speed Queen. And after having used it for a few months now, I understand why. And every time someone asks, I am now part of the Speed Queen recommendations.

The washing is excellent and really nice ease of use. I am glad that I purchased the digital display model with a few more features. The machine is whisper quiet and very easy loading. This is one of the best washers that I have ever used.

Two months in, so far so good. No complaints good washer. If your looking for a flashy washing with lots of buttons and lights, buy one, but it will only last 5-8 years. If your looking for a quality washing that's going to last for 15 years plus buy a speed queen!

I was so glad to get rid of my front loader - using it for 15 years. This washer is a pleasure to use - so easy no wiping it down or cleaning out mold. The clothes are clean - I am very pleased with it
