I have been wanting me one with both cooling and heating for along time now. This is really easy to operate. It also comes with a remote control which I really like. It cools my bedroom in no time I had to put it on energy saver. With it continuously running it got to cold. So after it cooled off outside I tried the heating. Oh man I'm gonna love this, this coming winter. It really puts the heat out. I'm really impressed about this LG cooling/heating system. I'm hoping it will last my family and I for years to come. You won't be disappointed in this brand or unit.

With the 12,000 btu size, this ac is recommended for rooms that are approximately 550 square foot. Correctly sizing the unit will ensure maximum efficiency. This unit is heavy, about 90 pounds, but can be installed by one person if necessary. You need to have at least 16 inches of height and 27 inches of width. In order to use the install kit that comes with the AC, you cannot have a window wider than 39 inches. If you do, you'll likely need to add some flashing around the outside of the window. You will also need 220v power supply within 15 feet of the unit for power.
Not only does this unit come with a remote, but it can also be operated by a smart phone app and voice assistants like Alexa and Google. The removable filter has a indicator light that lets you know when in needs to be washed.
If you're in the market for a window unit for a 500-600 square foot room, this is a perfect modern solution. I would strongly recommend you consider this unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a new larger AC unit and this LG fit what I was looking for. A couple of things to know before you buy: It weighs almost 100 pounds in box, AND You will need a 240 V plug. It comes packaged really well but is easy to unpack. It comes with all the installation parts you need, but not tools. It was a relatively easy install with clear directions in the manual that came with it. Once operational, there were many different options to choose how to run it. I chose the Energy Saver mode, and it cycles on and off to keep the room at the temperature which was 70 in my case. It has a delay timer, but my AC runs all the time as I live in Florida. It keeps my house very nicely cool. I love the remote, so if I want to change the modes or fan speeds, I can do that without getting up and going over to the unit. The LG AC does have a WiFi connection. To use it I downloaded the app "LG ThinQ" and from the app, you can connect the AC to your smartphone. The front panel has a filter light, which will come on when it needs cleaning. The front opens UP for easy access to the filter. I just brush mine off with a brush. This LG overall is a very modern appliance and the look is compact, sleek, and stylish.
