[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had initially hoped to replace an old window unit with the LG LW1221HRSM but failed to notice the requirement for a 230 V outlet. Our old unit used a 120 outlet. The side of the box lists 4 things to check, with this being the last. If you do not have a plug that looks like the picture below, it will not work. That said, we found another use for it, and the room size more compatible to the recommendations. The installation kit that comes with it is great, we just needed to add some of our own double sided tape as the one included didn’t stick. One person is able to install the outer “box” and window kit by themselves but since the unit weighs 90 lbs., it is best to have two people to slide it into the box. There are many levels of cooling and heating available and it is great to be able to turn it on remotely, usually an hour before we will be using the room!

i bought this AC on 6-1-23, had it installed, it was working good for a week and then it quit cooling on 6-11-23, i have not been able to return it yet,but when i do i'll get my refund and purchase some other brand of AC not an LG.

Fan blade was broken at production plant

My elderly neighbor's LW1221HRSM stopped working at 13 months. Of corse it's out of warranty. The condensing fan blade broke off 2 blades and locked up the fan when one of the blades got jammed. Here's the odd thing. Only one broken blade was found in unit. That could only mean it was shipped with one blade broken off and removed during manufacturing.

Turned on the heater, it was toasty warm. The remote control stays on his work space....no getting up and down to change the settings. He loves it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This AC blows COLD! I love it. I installed it in the window in my garage and it has made my garage COMFORTABLE! It works great. The wifi part is really cool. I can turn on the AC from my phone while still in the house so it can pre-cool the garage before I get out there. I usually turn it on about 15-20 minutes before heading out there and it is powerful enough to have the garage cooled down when I get out there. I haven't tried the heat portion of it yet, but I'm sure it will work just as well as the AC does. It was pretty easy to install, it took me about an hour and a couple of adult beverages. Just make sure you have 220v available near the inside of the window, luckily I already had power there as I was always planning on adding an AC unit in the garage.
