Used for years Good A/C's Warranty coverage sucks

Installed a new, out of the box, LW1821ERSM and it stopped running within 24 hours. Electronics in cover defective. Tested with cover from another new unit and ran perfectly. Have now been in a que for warranty service for almost a month. Have used LG window units for over a decade in 25 residential units and have had warranty problems before. I am not very encouraged based on past experience.

Almost 1 year later, I finally got to install it in the house I am renting until my home is ready to move back in to. I am so Extremely Happy with the unit! It works like a charm! From one end of the house to the other is nice and cool, which is important since it is 90 degrees outside. The installation and programming are so easy. I misplaced the instruction book but found it online which is fantastic! Now I will install a window in my remodeled home, just to house my air conditioner because it has become a very important part of my life. I could not function without it. It is one of the best decisions I have made and the price is right too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as my previous AC unit was showing signs of giving up. The removable casing and the many features made this my choice. Once the lightweight casing was installed, the insides were easy to lift and slide in place. No more wrestling with the entire unit trying to set it up. Cools several rooms almost instantly. Love the remote control and the thermostat feature. I used to watch the electric meter when the old AC was working and it spun like a meat slicer. Now, with the LG, it spins much slower. And it's very quiet, no loud fan, no rattles. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for our garage that we converted in to a man cave for my husband. This unit works beautifully! There are 3 cooling options/speeds. This definitely can cool a room! It also says it restarts quickly after a power outage. We haven’t had that issue yet so I can’t comment. However, if you’re looking for a larger window A/C unit, this is the one to get!!
