User for many years, but new packaging is horrible

I absolutely love this product and I’ve been buying it for many years. But I have to say the new packaging is absolutely terrible. Luckily, I still had some left in my canister So I was able to save that and jump the new one that came in the absolute garbage packaging into the plastic container. Please go back to your plastic packaging or come up with a better solution to possibly sell refills in bags? That would be easier to dump into an existing container.

Bring back the old packaging

I have taken this for about 5 years and have really felt the benefits. I put it in my coffee every day. But since this new packaging, the product tastes old and gross. I don't think it is keeping it fresh. I really wish you would return to the old plastic tub and I now regret throwing mine out. I may have to switch to some other form of collagen as it is ruining my coffee.

Product has recently changed

I've been a subscriber for several years and I used to love the product. Something has changed. Someone either changed the source of an ingredient or the processing and it's not for the better. The product used to dissolve well, now there is scummy residue that floats. It's gross. I'll be looking for a different collagen source and cancelling my subscription.

Go back to the plastic screw lid instead of the paper top. You won’t have a sustainable future if people stop buying your products.

Great product- wonderful new plastic-free package!

I am so grateful for your removal of the plastic scoop in each package and the new plastic free container! I had a slightly difficult time realizing how to get the new packaging open but when I figured it out- it's brilliant! Thank you for helping keep our planet more plastic free!

Awful new packaging...save your old plastic jar!

Hate the new cardboard packaging. Have been using this collagen for several years and love it, and I appreciate the company's efforts to use less plastic, but I've been fighting with this new paper container for 15 minutes now and can't even get it open. "Pinch rim and pull up." Right. More like hack at it with a pair of kitchen shears. Which I did. Which mangled the lid and rendered it useless. So unless you have strong, arthritis-free hands, good luck. Good thing I still have the plastic screw-top jar from the previous collagen order to refill.

If you would like to use a tool to aid in breaking the perforations, we recommend that you gently use the back of a spoon or a butter knife to pre-break the perforations on the lid. No longer dissolves even with vigorous stirring. Not going to continue to use, if this is a new formulation.

Terrible packaging and has changed. Used to be 2 tablespoons for 20g protein...now it's 4. Really?? Luckily I saved my old plastic package. Who thought this new packaging was a good idea? You would think with all these bad reviews they would change back, as I'm sure sales are affected. I'm going to find something else.

Hello. Thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback. Our company has transitioned away from manufacturing plastic scoops and providing one in each individual canister. This initiative is one small change Vital Proteins is taking toward a more responsible future this is also the reason why we have updated our packaging to our new paperboard canisters. The recommended dosages have remained the same, we simply change dosing instructions shifting from scoops to tablespoons. Our tablespoon measurement is now provided on each canister (listed within the Supplement Facts panel) and was created by our product experts in order to assure the most accurate measurement of our product - once again, we appreciate your feedback and are happy to address any further concerns you may have.
