Every Day Coffee

I put 1 scoop in my coffee every day. I love it and have been using Collagen Peptides by Vital Proteins for months. There is no taste but it gives me a little boost in the morning and helps my skin. I will continue using it because I have noticed a difference.

Postpartum Must Have

Two of my aunts were raving about this product when I saw them almost a year ago for the skin, hair and nail benefits. Since I was pregnant, I didn't bother jumping on the bandwagon yet. But once I had my soon, almost 4 months ago now, the hormonal changes dried my skin out so bad, my hair started to fall out, my knees ached, and I was visably tired due to being a mom (ha!). I started this about a month ago, and within the first week I noticed my skin needed less moisturizer, my hair was shinier and less prone to breakage (it is still falling out though, but that's common after having a baby), and my knees feel somewhat better. I enjoy coffee, so I toss a scoop in there every morning. I may start using two scoops to see if it helps my knees some more.

Had a slight flavor, but would still use

The reconstituted powder seemed to add a "jello-y" flavor to the no cal drinks I mixed it with. The flavor was not necessarily bad, it was just less good than without the collagen. It mixed well in hot water, but even after fully dissolved I had problems with the beverages I added the cooled collagen solution. The components of the beverages I mixed it with came out of solution and settled after the collagen solution was added. I never had a problem with the beverages being unstable before. If the powder was not first dissolved in hot water, white particles that were hard to dissolve where on the sides of the glass. Also, my husband made the mistake of only pouring the solution in the glass and not vigorously stirring it. The solution would settle at the bottom of the glass. Then he thought he could just swirl the glass, but that did not incorporate the solution.
However, it is still an effective way to consume high quality collagen/protein.

Variety of uses!

I have used Vital Protein Collagen peptides for years, buying it here or there. I just recently got a subscription to receive it every other month. It is a very versatile product and can be used in a wide variety of ways: mixed in smoothies, coffee, oatmeal, baking, almost anything. It does not alter the taste of anything I’ve put it in. My only complaint is that I can’t buy it monthly due to the cost.
