Tastes awful

Tastes like crushed up bone powder. No drinks or foods will mask the taste. I couldn’t even take 1/3 of the recommended dose without gagging.

Love it but hate the plastic- B Corp - Really?

Powder seems to help my nails and hair. I mix it into my oatmeal every morning. I did not see any difference to my joints, so trying the Type 2 capsules and will see how that goes. While I like this product for general health, I am looking for alternatives with sustainable refill packaging because the amount of plastic canisters I accumulate is awful. I know there may be quality trade-offs, but I feel too guilty right now. I am hoping hoping hoping that being a B Corp will motivate VP to find alternatives. Removing the scoop is a first step (yay), but need to take care of the rest.

At Vital Proteins, we define sustainability as reducing the overall environmental impact of our business. Our flagship ingredient—collagen—is a sustainably sourced ingredient as it is derived from byproducts of the meat and fish industry. Collagen supplementation utilizes parts of the animal that are typically discarded. In addition to our current canisters being recyclable, we are reducing the canister size on all new innovations. Our manufacturing facility runs on clean fuel, and we evaluate and partner with sustainable suppliers. Moving forward, we are working to reduce the size of all canisters, develop a refillable container option for repeat customers, remove our plastic scoop, and expand our vegan offering. Our sustainability journey is vital, which is why we are working to build a better and cleaner future together.

Do not want to reorder

I am just about to the end of my product and do not want to continue to take this. I had previously used a different product and I thought I’d try this, but I will be going back to the first product I had tried from my local market.

Love the product, hate the plastic packaging

The product is great and I notice a difference in my skin and hair. Please change the plastic packaging ASAP. I’ll be looking for an alternative until you can make this responsible change.

Not Oderless. :(

I really can't get over the nasty smell and taste. It taste like the smell of stinky socks if that makes sense. I tried putting it in different kinds of drink, and can't mask the smell. I feel like I wasted my money because unfortunately.

I bought this in hopes of helping my thinning hair. Only used it one week so can’t say whether it did or not. I just don’t like the taste or texture it puts into whatever liquid I add it to. Disappointed.
