I'll start off by saying I love the VP marine collagen, but i wanted to try this due to the vit c and HA. This is def not unflavored, the smell is so pungent and bleh i had to cancel my subscription. I had to make whole smoothies in order to mask the taste of this. If i had just put it in my tea or coffee it would be disgusting. I haven't drank my collagen tea in two weeks because I'm too scared to drink it and my fatigue is starting to catch up to me lol super sad this one didnt work for me :(((((

Latest example of corporate greenwashing

I've been using this product for years, and I've been extremely pleased with it as a joint support. I've recommended it to countless others and credited it as a key pillar in supporting my hypermobile joints. However, I'm extremely disappointed by the latest "announcement" that they have removed the plastic scoop because "sustainability is vital." Please explain to me how removing a tiny fraction of the plastic used in the product packaging--conveniently, something that results in making this product less convenient for the consumer--is "sustainable?" Apart from how insulting it is to think their consumers won't see right through this greenwashing, if this company actually cared about sustainability, we'd see half the amount of plastic used in the existing thick, plastic container or perhaps compostable containers. I love this product, but I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

At Vital Proteins, we define sustainability as reducing the overall environmental impact of our business. Our flagship ingredient—collagen—is a sustainably sourced ingredient as it is derived from byproducts of the meat and fish industry. Collagen supplementation utilizes parts of the animal that are typically discarded. In addition to our current canisters being recyclable, we are reducing the canister size on all new innovations. Our manufacturing facility runs on clean fuel, and we evaluate and partner with sustainable suppliers. Moving forward, we are working to reduce the size of all canisters, develop a refillable container option for repeat customers, remove our plastic scoop, and expand our vegan offering. Our sustainability journey is vital, which is why we are working to build a better and cleaner future together.

Hi! Thanks for reaching out. Because we source our Collagen Peptides from multiple partners, the density of the blended product can vary. That's why we fill each product by weight, rather than "height" (or fill line). Filling each canister by weight ensures each customer receives the EXACT same amount of product!
That being said, we understand that when you open a canister of Collagen Peptides that has been filled with a denser blend, it may seem like you've been cut short. Just know you haven't been!
To account for slight density changes in our collagen powder, which can happen from time to time, we adjust the scoop size accordingly. Don’t worry – we promise you’re still getting the same number of servings as listed on our canister labels!
That being said, we understand that when you open a canister of Collagen Peptides that has been filled with a denser blend, it may seem like you've been cut short. Just know you haven't been!

Absolutely disgusting

I have to drink this with my nose plugged. I gag every single time. Doesn’t matter what I put it in. I’ve tried putting it in coffee and it ruins the flavor. It’s not expired, so I am not sure what the issue is. I can’t even take the full dose of two scoops. Stick to tablets. I will never but this stuff again.

Very disatisfied

Had been using another brand snd decided to order Vital Proteins....not satisfied at all...does not dissolve well in cold liquid, leaves clumps no matter how much you mix it...could mot believe how much sodium this product contains, much more than the competitors...will not buy again and really would like a refund considering I cant use due to high sodium

Tastes like Penicillin

I have mixed this in coffee, green tea, and water and it the taste in all is just awful. I have heard this stuff works very well and I want to keep using it. Is there a pill form?

Clumpy, Cloudy, Does Not Dissolve

It does not dissolve, no matter what I do. I have tried using cold water and then adding the powder - I have tried adding water to the powder. The same result happens lumpy and turns the clear water into a cloudy, clumpy solution. I have also tried adding to my smoothy that is made in the blender - the same result happens.
I don't know if the powder I purchased is a defective manufacturer run, and I would like to know because this powder is not cheap.
