Something has changed recently...

I've been using this product for a while now, but there's something different about the most recent shipment I received. The powder doesn't dissolve all the way now and it honestly tastes disgusting even though this particular collagen powder is supposed to have no taste. I will be switching to a different brand. It's also lame that they decided to get rid of the scoop it comes with.

The only one that works

I have tried three different brands of Collagen Peptides and this one seems to be the only one that really works. Not sure why this one works better as the ingredients are exactly the same as the other ones I have tried. I'm sharing it with the hubby every day with our cup of coffee/tea with a supplemet of Turmeric and Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C. He doesn't really need it as he is hadsome enough, but can't really hurt him either. I'm 43 and the biggest transformation I can see is in my skin. Much softer, hydrated and not requiring as many creams/serums to look and feel good. I used to use a premium face cream that costs a fortune and results were not near as good as using the Collagen. I will definitely keep purchasing this as part of my "feeling good at old age" investment regime. :)

Good Product But Formula Changed!

Let me start by saying that I was skeptical about Vital Proteins but then I bought a jar just to try. After the first week, I did notice a difference in my skin because I normally have dry skin and in just a few weeks, my skin became so moisturized, it was actually becoming greasy! Not a problem for me as that was easier to deal with than constant moisturizing. Then half a year passed and I noticed my ponytail was thicker! I love this collagen powder and when I stopped using it, I realized skin started to become dry again. The reason I stopped using it is because the formula changed. I used to add it to water and coffee with zero clumping and it was odorless and tasteless. Now, I'm not sure what happened. The last jar I got clumps so badly, has little brown specks (no longer pearly white fine powder) smells really weird, and tastes weird too. I nearly gag having to swallow this stuff. Perhaps the additional hyaluronic acid and vitamin C is doing it, but honestly, the taste and texture is horrendous so I had to put them into capsules to swallow. It refused to mix with yogurt and clumped on the bottom of my blender blade.

Still testing but a couple of issues

Just received and used a few times. I'm not reviewing the results just a couple of observations so far. First, the 20 oz container was only a slighty more than half full. I hate that and that alone will get a lower review. Secondly, 1 scoop seems to do ok but when you do 2 full scoops it has trouble dissolving and clumps a bit even in hot coffee. It does have a taste to it also. I purchase thru the website, which is a little more expensive, because I can't seem to find that added ingredient of Hyaluronic Acid in local stores.

That's why we fill each product by weight, rather than "height" (or fill line). Filling each canister by weight ensures each customer receives the EXACT same amount of product!
That being said, we understand that when you open a canister of Collagen Peptides that has been filled with a denser blend, it may seem like you've been cut short. Just know you haven't been!
To account for slight density changes in our collagen powder, which can happen from time to time, we adjust the scoop size accordingly. Don’t worry – we promise you’re still getting the same number of servings as listed on our canister labels!

Love the results but ick

I started using this at the recommendation of my surgeon following the completion of a series of knee surgeries because he said it would be beneficial for my joints. I can’t speak for my joints but my skin and nails have never looked healthier. Obsessed. But this stuff looks, tastes and smells ROUGH. Unflavored does not mean flavorless. I dissolve it in hot water and let it sit to cool down, otherwise it clumps. It’s worth it but wish they would consider “flavoring” it to help mask the ick. LOL.

My first canister had no odor or taste. My second canister smells like BLEACH and has no scoop. Recommend 4 TABLESPOONS???? Could not drink it!!!! Today I tried 2 tablespoons and was better. Why does the powder smell so bad?
