Good product but the old and new packaging SUCKS!

I like the product, but both the old and new packaging sucks. So like other reviewers, I gave one star to get the attention of Vital Proteins.The old package had a plastic strip around the lid. But it was so difficult to pull up the end of the strip to start to pull it off. I had to get a knife or corkscrew to poke up the end and once I finally did, I would carefully pull the strip around the lid. But 80% of the time the strip would crack and break first before it came off the lid. So then I had to use a knife or corkscrew again to pry up the end of the remaining plastic strip to finally pull it off. Then it still wasn't easy to get the lid off because after unscrewing it, it would catch onto the edge of the seal covering the canister. I would have to pull and tug to finally get it off. I can't imagine any elderly person or someone with dexterity issues trying to open it. Now to the new canister. I thought they finally got rid of the horrible packaging so it was easier to open. NOT. The reason why the lid of this package is impossible to "pinch and pull" up is because you didn't instruct the consumer to run a knife along the perforated edge of the lid. Because unless you do that, there is NO way you can just pinch and pull the lid up. Even in your video, you can tell that was clearly done to the edge of the lid first so it could easily pull up the lid. I would highly recommend you add those instructions to your lid because pinch and pull won't work. I like your product but your packaging is the absolute worst and this isn't rocket science.

I love this collagen!!!

I use this every day. I do not like the design of your cardboard packaging. You can be environmentally conscious and user friendly. I do prefer your collagen over the Dose & Co collagen but you may look at their cardboard packaging because it is much easier to use and I just keep pouring your collagen in their packaging to use it.

I wanted to write a review unlike the rest I'm seeing on here, actually thanking vital proteins for their new cardboard packaging. The loud voices sounding off in the reviews appear to be dramatic people that are most likely few and far between. A LOT of people own extra tablespoons, especially if they save the scoops from other products. And worth noting - a normal spoon is about a table spoon as well. I think a plastic spoon is not that hard to come by, come on people ;)
As far as their cardboard packaging, I personally found it very easy to open. Although, I will admit that I do not have any physical limitations. I'm not sure what other people are doing with their tube besides setting it on a counter that would cause it to become all smashed up or wrinkled. I thank you, vital proteins, for trying to keep our planet safer and healthier by switching to a type of packaging that is less harmful to the environment. It's not just us living here, but many other species as well :) - a happy first time customer!

Worst packaging ever!!

The new cardboard packaging with the pinch and pull is the worst packaging of any product I have ever owned. I had to transfer the entire content to another container to be able to use it as I destroyed the lid in my attempt to open it. I have used this product for a couple of years and had no issues with it. But this packaging is the deal breaker. I will be shopping for another brand.

Best New Container Ever

I really like this product and use it almost daily. The new packaging I see has not gotten the best reviews, but I think it's great. For those that don't like it, just take the time to learn how to open it. So environmentally friendly! Great job! Thanks to this company for caring about the environment.

HATE the container

I am new to this product & I like the product itself but I HATE the container. It is impossible get it open with your hands Even my husband had a hard time before he got it open. The second one I used a butcher knife to get it open. The container is useless for keeping the product so had to pour it into a container that has a lid. I will not buy again when what I have is gone & will buy another brand.
