It’s been over a month since I purchased my portable LG AC unit. At first I was a little scared on setting it up because I thought it was going to be difficult but it was very easy and straight forward. I love how this unit comes with a window cover that has to 2 sizes to fit most if not all window sizes. It also has pre drilled holes for easy adjustment on the window piece. No need to drill holes into your window pane! Works perfect and blows extremely cold for me!

Temperature Sensor is in Wrong Place

I just bought this unit. It cools great but will not regulate the temperature. I had a service call. The tech was sharp but wasn't up to speed on this unit. After two service calls and a replacement of the control board, he determined that the temperature sensor is on the back of the unit. That places it near the window by necessity instead of sensing the entire room. The air behind the unit isn't representative of the room's temperature. It would be if the sensor were in the front of the unit. This is a fatal design flaw. The only way to control the temperature is to switch to fan mode when the room gets too cold, then back to AC when the room starts heating up

Only worked for one summer

Bought this portable AC unit for our office at work, worked perfectly for a summer and when it was taken out of storage this year it wont even turn on, not one light and of course right after the warranty expired.
