Perfect Solution

Perfect solution to the narrow windows of this old house. No air conditioner would fit; but the LG portable 10,000 BTU fit the bill and cools the area quickly with easy-to-use controls and great options. Highly recommend this unit.

Before purchasing a portable A/C I did a ton of research I spent the better half of a week researching different models with different options and what not. After it was all said and done I focused on the LG portable 10,000 BTU air conditioner. The reason being is I live in a two bedroom one bathroom apartment where technically the apartment is underground I guess you could say and it’s an open layout type of an apartment. I believe this particular unit advertised cooling for up to 450 ft.². And also had Wi-Fi capability to be able to turn on and off even if I’m miles away, which was a feature I was looking for because it allows me to save money. When I leave don’t have to leave the AC running in order to come home to a cool apartment I simply turn it off and when I’m about 15 minutes from home I turn it back on and when I walk in it’s almost as if it had never turned off. I love the product. I have had it for about a month and a half now and I clean it fairly regularly. What I’m really hoping to see from this product is longevity and durability. However only time will tell for those two.

First starting at unpacking, incredible! Easy to do and packaged extremely well. Accessories packed and protected. Air conditioner easy to set up and install window vent (included). Here again LG knew what to do.
No skimpy hose or window slide for hose assembly. Excellent cooling and easy to control. Rolls room to room very easily. Also can control with remote or smart phone. Great purchase and very happy. Especially my fur babies!!!! Thanks LG - you rock🤗💓

Stay away from this unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit was working for ONE Summer and then compressor failed! The unit is just over a year old and warranty expired. Very disappointing!
I have 2 other portable AC's: Midea & Hisense; both are over 2 years old and working perfectly.
I will stay away from LG's products!

Unclear instructions

The unit has two drains. The instructions do not address if you can connect each drain to a drain hose and leave it that way for all modes of operation. I am not around each day to check the lower drain to see if it needs emptying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit in general has preformed as expected. The issue is when the unit is in the oscillating mode there is a vibration within the unit that is loud and annoying. LG is working on a solution but does not have service techs in the area to service the unit. This vibration started within two weeks of initial startup.
