Does not do the job

Needed a space heater when furnace went out. Bought this unit and tried both settings- 750 and 1500w. The low setting blew slightly cool-to-warm air, the 1500 was warmer, but not really hot. The worst feature is the fan. It is totally inadequate and takes an hour to make a cold (small) room comfortable. Its velocity is lower than a personal hair dryer on low. Very disappointing space heater.
Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Quiet
Cons: Lacks Power, inadequate heating

I've had this heater for over a year now and I love how it basically eliminates any safety concerns with its multitude of safety features (tip over sensor, non-glowing coils, and twirled grill). This in addition to the fact that it provides a soft, gentle heat which quickly fills a 12'x12' room leads me to say that this is the best portable heater I have ever purchased and probably ever will purchase. It may be slightly more pricy than others, but it's worth every penny. -Brian

Small Unit, Big Heat

When i got the PVH it was smaller than expected, but that did not detur me from using the PVH during this winter. When i plugged it in and turned on the heat... the new smell burnt off the coils and the unit pumped heat into my room more than expected. and the PVH wispers for noise.... really once, i could not tell the Heater was running untill i put my hand in front to feel warm air. i like all aspects of the PVH, style, ease of use and safety since the last heater i was useing had 0 safety features talk about sweating at night...

shuts off too quickly

The heater worked fairly well for a while. However, whithin a couple of months the heater would start when turned on and then turn off within a couple of minutes. I thoroughly cleaned the heater thinking that dirt and "stuff" might be causing the shutdown issue, nope. I read many good things about this heater, but I hate it as it is so frustrating!

I USED IT LAST NIGHT WITH WIND CHILL AT 29 DEGREES. WITH HEATER PLACED IN MY LIVING ROOM OF MY 952 SQ FT APARTMENT AND USING IT AS MY ONLY HEAT SOURCE, WITH THE HEAT SET ON LOW 750 WATT AND I HAD IT SET AT NUMBER 2 AND IT KEPT THE FRONT HALF OF MY APARTMENT AT 70 DEGREES,AND THE BACK 2 BEDROOMS WERE AT 67. AGAIN THIS WAS WITH IT SET ON NUMBER 2 AND THE LOW 750 WATT HEAT SETTING. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IN A VORNADO HEATER. A+++++++++++++++++++ ALL THE WAY WITH VORNADO

Love this heater!

I really have enjoyed this heater. My apartment has electric heating and it takes forever to get the whole apartment warm so this heater helps circulate the warm air faster. Bought it four years ago and this past winter it stopped functioning properly so I contacted customer service and they are sending me a new unit! Great product, great warranty, great customer service. Couldn't be happier.
Pros: Energy Efficient, Good Power Output, Heats the Whole Room, Quiet, Safe

With a five- year warranty I thought this would last that long. I purchased this in October of 2013 and it is dead already. (I have emailed customer service for help) While it worked, it did keep our living room warm. However, dying when it is 28 degrees out is not a good thing. I am hoping that Vornado CS will get back with me quickly, then I'll update this review. We own multiple Vornado products and this is the second. The fans are outstanding, but this is the second space heater that has dead on us.
