The laptop is awesome; it completely exceeded my expectations. I originally wanted a desktop for the size but the 17" display works just fine - I'm able to split screen easily. The touch is great, I love the design and its also very fast. It charges quickly and battery lasts a long time too, only charge once per day after using it consistently for work for 9 hrs, and inconsistently for a few hours outside work hours. I haven't tested the sound and camera yet.

Love it! Everything I expected. I was specifically looking for a laptop with a metal body (too many damaged plastic laptops) and a lighted keyboard. This ENVY has both. Seems a little low on storage, but hopefully it will be fine. After using it for a few weeks I have only one complaint... The <delete> key is in the far upper right corner of the keyboard, right next to the Power key which is identical, very easy to mistake it.

Great laptop. Very fast. The big screen is very useful. If you really need to move the laptop a lot around your place (house, office), perhaps a 15-inch screen would be enough.
I also got an external ethernet connector and an external DVD reader/writer; both worked seamlessly!
The fingerprint reader is excellent!... I prefer this type to others where you have to slide your finger.
