Purchased this coffee maker October 12th, 2023. We just started to get an error code (erL) and I have to unplug the coffee maker and plug it back in to reset it and then have to re-enter the time and auto-brew time again. Very frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We like this unit a lot. It was a workhorse. Brewed nice cup of coffee. Little slow, but consistent cup o' joe... We like our coffee strong, so the BOLD option is nice feature. Easy to program. Sleek looking design
One caveat, our last unit only lasted 3 years before it leaked. As with most appliances, simply not worth fixing. So repurchased the same model ( kept old carafe, filter basket and water filter older ).
I would recommend this to a friend!

The auto brew function wouldn't work on 2 different coffee makers. Most likely a bad manufacturing run. I returned both and bought the older version of this coffee maker with physical buttons.
