The coffeemaker works as advertised. The one thing I do not like is the on going steam condensing on the lid the dripping back down on the heating coils. It sounds like the coffee in the carafe is boiling away.

The first all touch Black coffee maker was returned, okayed by Cuisinart, because the lid leaked always but most distressing was the hard and loud knocking noise it made when.the coffeemaker was turned on to brew. So loud it would wake you up, sending the noise up the stairs from the kitchen!
The one sent to me, to take its place, is now making the same loud knocking noise. I LOVE the flat touch screen, but sadly realize that this problem is obviously inherent.

I had a difficult time figuring out the filter placement. I was also not happy to read that every 60 pots of coffee I need to change this filter--so now I have to find these filters and pay for them. There is a never ending process of having to keep shelling out money after the purchase---the coffee is not very good but that is my responsibility.
