The coffee quality is a huge step up from my last maker (using the same beans). Very simple and easy interface. My complaints would be, it’s a pain to fill the reservoir: narrow opening and having the water meter on the side is not convenient. Also, they included a water filter, which broke the first time I attempted to open it.

Bought it based on a Consumer Reports recommendation. Makes a great cup of coffee! Programming is mostly intuitive (operating instructions could be clearer), but the setup procedure is rote now.

Replacement coffeemaker

This coffeemaker is a replacement for one we had. Some of the functions on the touchscreen stopped working within the first year. It was replaced by you. I was very happy with the coffeemaker prior to the touchscreen problem. It brewed excellent coffee. It was a great temperature. I liked the larger pot for times when guests were over. We used the bold and small pot features many times to make specialty coffee drinks at home. My previous coffeemaker had a stainless finish but I felt it showed fingerprints easily. I prefer the black finish. The style is sleek. My last coffeemaker, prior to the Cuisinart, had problems with dripping from the spout when pouring. This one does not. I am hoping the problem we had was a fluke and hoping this one will provide great service for us.

I absolutely LOVE my newest Cuisinart coffeemaker! This is my 3rd Cusinart coffeemaker. This one excels the others for a couple of reasons. #1. The taste of the coffee, once made, the coffee just tastes so much better than with the other two units AND #2. When pouring the coffee it does not spill around the spout of the carafe. I would have to stand over the sink to pour from the other units, due to spillage even when pouring slowly. I LOVE that I don't have to do this with this unit. The top "looks" the same, but obviously something is different.

Coffee brew button

I had the cuisinart thermal coffee pot before & liked it very much. I don't keep my pot plugged in all the time, so for me this pot is harder to use. When I turn it on it wants me to put in a time which I don't want to do. So sometimes When I hold the brew button & release it will keep going back to me to put in the time. It takes more than a few times for the pot to go to the actual brew process. I would just like a button to brew the coffee!

Overall, and excellent coffeemaker, convenient, easy-to-use, very lightweight and easy to position.
One very minor inconvenience is pouring water into the reservoir using the carafe. Since it is on the back corner, the carafe and the top lid prevent easily pouring ALL the water into the reservoir without some gyrations.
