I purchased this coffee maker to replace a older Bunn. The Bunn did not get hot enough. I bought this based on Consumer Reports Review of the product. I makes a excellent cup of coffee. I really like the wide mouth of the decanter as my big hand can reach in to scrub it. I have two suggestions. The first is the marking of the cups on the side of the decanter. The color should be black. It is so hard to see the white as filling the decanter. I asked my wife if she had trouble with this and she agreed with me. The second though is that pouring the required amount of water is cumbersome The lid of the coffee maker should swing back further in order to allow this big decanter room to pour. The quality if excellent. The temperature of the coffee is really hot ( have the scares on my tongue to prove HA!!!)

Coffeemaker is attractive, but has several design/functional features that should be improved, mostly involving the carafe. The lid does not easily fit back on the carafe after removal for filing or cleaning, the carafe does not slide back on the warmer after serving a cup (it seems to hang up on the filter basket, and the top of the coffeemaker should open a tad farther to make filling with cold water easier.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this coffee maker primarily for its sleek design. That said, this is my fifth 14-cup Cuisinart coffee maker during the past 20-25 years. While the Cuisinart brand historically gets top ratings from Consumer Reports, my experience has been that the coffee makers have quality control issues, e.g. the coating on the hot plate tends to peel off after a period of time. I've come to resign myself to this being a disposable product.

Have had the past few versions of this machine and each has been better than the last. The touchscreen panel is a nice upgrade from the buttons, and it's actually easier to use. Brews a great pot and allows for some customization for taste (boldness, temperature, etc.) Best of all, like all Cuisinart coffee makers I've had, it's just a workhorse. Great machine and great value.

It stopped working after 2 days! The touchscreen was giving an error code and you couldn’t do anything! Tried unplugging and plugging back in and still have ERL code and the screen would no longer work!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a fan of the Cuisinart brand and this coffee maker adds to my list of favorites from them. It's a nice sleek design and I love that it's full touch screen. Options to make coffee bold, program time, and no need for a paper filter are my favorite features of this coffee maker. It's quiet and makes a fast pot of coffee. Coffee stays nice and hot, a perfect brew. Easy to use and clean. It goes into sleep mode when not in use, just push the wake button and the front panel lights up and is ready for your selection. I've had quite a few coffee makers in my time and I really like the design and sleekness of this one. As always high quality comes with the Cuisinart name.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn’t realize how the same coffee could taste so much better in a Cuisinart coffee maker! The charcoal filter and the gold-tone filter make this an exceptional unit! I love waking up to a fresh brewed cup of coffee and know the pot will turn off in 2 hours. The instructions were very clear on how to set it up. I have received so many compliments on the sleek design but the awesome is in the taste!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Cuisinart- Touchscreen 14 cup Programmable Coffeemaker is a great machine with great features. Brewing is fast and easy and the coffee comes out hot. It's easy to program and has the option of choosing the desired strength of your coffee. You can control how long the hot plate stays on and there also is an alert when the machine needs cleaning. The design is attractive and looks sleek on the counter without taking up too much space. A great product from Cuisinart!
