Not worth the money

I replaced an old Sonicare that had worn out with this model, and returned it immediately. It works no better than the old one, the app is gimmicky and ultimately not very useful. The charger is a weird USB charger that is huge on the wall, but doesn't have the advantage of being able to use a longer or shorter cord because it is hard-wired on the charger side. It also came with absolutely no instructions at all. I returned it in 24 hours, which was a pain because the Philips website is broken.

Philips Sonicare Buyer's Beware

It's time to say goodbye to Philips Sonicare. After owning three of their toothbrushes, I'm convinced the brand has major quality control issues. Each one lasted only a year and a half to two years before breaking down completely.
My experience isn't unique, either. A quick search on Reddit shows countless others facing the same problem, with many users reporting a similar two-year lifespan for their devices.
I'm finally switching to the Oral-B iO series and would advise anyone considering a new electric toothbrush to avoid Philips Sonicare.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not sure it cleans better than my last Sonicare

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been previously using a DIamondClean Smart. Compared to that, the Prestige feels slightly lighter and vibrates less. Over the time I've been using it I'm not sure that the clean is much better than the DiamondClean Smart.
One backstep from the DiamondClean Smart is the single button controlling both power and functions. I had DiamondClean before the Smart and it had similar issue which made it hard to change functions or turn off the toothbrush at times.
I do like the more compact travel case than the DiamondClean Smart. However, one convenient feature of the old travel case was that the cable was built in so there was no need to carry any additional cables.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This Brush Looks & Feels Good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, I received the product to be included in an honest product review test. The product, Philips Sonicare Prestige 9900, is powerful and fast. It feels like the tool the dentist uses to polish your teeth after a cleaning. When I first started using this toothbrush it did tickle a little when brushing some parts of my teeth. I have slowly but surely gotten used to the feel of real power.
This toothbrush syncs with an app. The brushing session is broken up into 6 sections of teeth. The brush gives you a slight pause when it is time to move to the next section. I really enjoy it because I find myself brushing for longer. I believe that has resulted in much cleaner teeth. The app makes daily suggestions to gain maximum brushing efficiency. Although you do not need to app open to brush, you might want to do it once a week to make sure it is still synced.
It came with 2 charging options. The everyday stand up charger is amazingly easy to clean. The hard plastic piece sits on top of the beautiful charging disc. You can easily pick up the plastic piece to clean. The other charger in more of a travel option. It is a gorgeous case.
I am extremely happy with my results. My mouth feels cleaner. My teeth feel more smooth. Although sometimes I want to go back to the quick and all over the place brushing method I used to use. I know this way is better for my overall mouth health. It is a time investment. If you do it as suggested in the app, you will need a minimum of 4 minutes from start to stop. I know it seems like a lot but it works. You really do get an even and powerful clean.

Great first impression.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far this product has been great. The brush head is fantastic at getting all areas and surfaces throughly cleaned. Takes some getting used to, as it’s a bit more firm than the usual heads. I am receiving compensation for testing this product.

Delayed on off switch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The toothbrush and the travel case are aesthetically pleasing. The toothbrush has power and cleans very well. The traveling case charges the toothbrush when out of town or simply on the go. I believe that my carrying case is leather, which adds to the appeal and luxury feel. The only downside to this toothbrush could actually be considered a fatal flaw in my opinion there is a delay in the on-off switch. The first time I use the toothbrush I turned the power off remove the brush from my mouth and was splattered with toothpaste because the toothbrush did not go off

Works well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how this toothbrush looks! Very sleek & the rose gold color sets it apart from other Sonicare toothbrushes I've seen. I love the brushing feedback light that tells you when you're brushing too hard. The BrushPacer comes in handy, helping me keep track of how long I need to brushing each section of my teeth. The intensity settings excite me the most, I prefer the second intensity setting. And lastly, the BrushSync technology helps tremendously - letting me know when the head needs to be replaced. My only issue with this toothbrush is the on/off button design - I sometimes accidentally touch it, turning it off in the middle of brushing.
