[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had Sonicare toothbrushes before, and this time I switched back to Sonicare from an Oral B. Sonicare wins hands-down. The app helps ensure that you don’t miss a spot while brushing, which is a nice perk. What I love about this model above the other Sonicare options is that there are no seams around the buttons for gunk to build up in. The buttons are seamless and touch-sensitive. I’m also a huge fan of this new brush head and feel that it gets my teeth cleaner. Finally, this brush holds a charge better than older models, and FAR better than my top-of-the-line Oral B model, (I can easily yet 25 days on a full charge, brushing 3x a day)!

Nice toothbrush but does not last

I have had two model 9900’s now back to back. After about 12 months, the first one suddenly became very loud and did not seem to be working as well. When I removed the detachable head I discovered the metal center rod that extends from the base into the brush head to power the head seemed to be “loose”, moving around too easily. Clearly something had broken or dislocated inside the handle. I returned this unit and received a new one. The new one did exactly the same thing after about four months. I love the brush, when it works. It is quiet and the charge lasts a significant amount of time. Plus for longer trips it is easy to recharge using the smart travel case. Bu the delicacy of the unit is too much to put up with.

Hi Beacher,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear about your experience with our Sonicare toothbrush. Sonicare toothbrushes use powerful vibrations to clean your teeth. The sound produced is louder than a manual toothbrush. If this is your first electric toothbrush, it can take a while to get used to electric brushing. Also, if you turn on your toothbrush without a brush head, it will make more noise. Always ensure that a brush head is attached to your toothbrush. If you have any additional questions, please get in touch via Social Media. We’re available on Facebook (@Philips) and Twitter (@PhilipsCare). Don’t worry, if you don’t use Social Media, you can also reach out to us via the contact page: www.Philips.com/contact.
Hope to speak to you soon!

quality issue with handle tip - makes a loud sound

Second time i'm submitting a warranty repair for this product in less than a year. The handle tip is loose creates a very loud buzzing sound. . I have sent both of my toothbrushes to phillips for warranty replacement and hopefully, identification of the underlying recurrent cause. This is a quality issue that has not been addressed or satisfactorily addressed. My husband bought a significantly cheaper version of this brush several years ago and has had zero issues. I previously had a sonicare for 15+ years without any issues at all. Dont need the high tech bluetooth functions. Just need a brush that works consistently and long term.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not like the fact that he keeps changing the intensity setting from Low to medium or high. I have very sensitive teeth. I know when I need to change the intensity. It makes my mouth hurt when you change it from low to medium or high. I will brush my teeth for 6 to 8 minutes using your app and it still says my teeth are not clean enough. Come on. They are plenty clean. I do not know what else to do. I will brush them 2 to three rounds and that is it.

Seems like a great electric toothbrush

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this toothbrush, but am not in love with it. I think it’s a great toothbrush. It seems like it cleans well. It has a great charging system, easy to set up and use. My concern, and why I took off a star, is that it seems to go only one speed and that’s a bit too fast. You brush and if it happens to slip out of your mouth for any reason, toothpaste splatter goes everywhere. I do like how it glows at the bottom if you’re brushing too hard, which I tend to do a lot and never realized. All in all it’s a great brush and seems like it cleans well!

Does a poor job of tracking coverage by area. Had trouble with app after using for only a few months. Has a difficult time occasionally connecting to toothbrush

Hello there,
Thank you for your valuable feedback. We're sorry to hear that you are facing an issue with your Philips Sonicare app. If your toothbrush does not connect with the Philips Sonicare app, follow these steps: Ensure that your toothbrush is fully charged. Check that your phone’s operating system and the app are updated. Activate Bluetooth on your mobile device. Hold your toothbrush and mobile device close together. Remove your toothbrush from the charger or push the mode button to activate the LED symbols on the handle. Open the Sonicare app. If your toothbrush still does not connect when you open the app, unpair/forget your toothbrush in your phone’s Bluetooth settings. Restart the Sonicare app to re-pair your device. Clearing the Bluetooth cache on your mobile device may also resolve connectivity issues. Further, we are also sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the app's ability to track the coverage area. In this case, or if you are still facing connectivity issues with your app, please reach out to us via social media.
We're available on Facebook (@Philips) and Twitter (@PhilipsCare). Don't worry if you don't use social media; you can also contact us via the contact page: www.Philips.com/contact.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Kind regards, Philips Consumer Care

I love these products! This one is my fourth toothbrush. One big miss in the design of the travel case is it isn't possible to store the toothbrush, brush head, AND brush head cover in the travel case. Either the brush head with the cover has to travel separate, or the brush head cover is separate. Please change the travel case to allow the brush head with the cover to fit in the travel case with the toothbrush.
