I used product in a 500 sq basement , carpeted. It kept humidity at 55%.
I recommend filing the 2 yr warranty information.

The dehumidifier leaks !

As per instructions, I set the unit up in the basement and waited a few days before using it. I plugged the unit in last evening. This morning Iwoke up the unit's bucket was full and there was a puddle on the floor. I emptied the bucket and restarted the unit. A few hours later I checked the unit. The puddle was larger and the bucket had perhaps a half a liter in it. I removed the bucket and the unit kept working, even without the bucket being attached.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Please make sure the unit is placed on a level surface and the drainage hose, if you're using one, is properly installed and not blocked. If the issue persists, kindly reach out to our consumer service team at consumerservice@danby.com for further assistance.

Good dehumidifier

We bought this dehumidifier for a basement, where the temperature can get cool. This unit can specifically handle low temperatures. It is quiet and draws a lot of moisture from the air.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I really like the setting for "Smart Dehumidify". This setting avoids having to constantly check whether manual setting is correct for the current humidity conditions.
