Danby Dehumidifier

The dehumidifier is working fine, but I was somewhat mislead by the information on the product box. The information indicated the dehumidifier would pull 30 pints of water out of the air in a 24 hour period, so I expected the water bucket to be capable of holding 30 pints or some amount near the level. The water bucket is really quite small and will require frequent attention. I am not able to attach a drain hose in my situation.

New dehumidifier: So far, so good!

Seems sturdy. Have only had it for one day but it is up and running and seems to be doing a good job so far. I’m doing this early review to take advantage of the 2 months extended warrant offer . Will report back after my new Danby 30 pt dehumidifier has had a chance to be put through its paces. Hoping the good start bodes well.

Have only had the Danby 30 pint dehumidifier for a week but it is doing a good job removing moisture from my basement so far. I am pleased with my purchase .

We (Me and my brother John) have a Danby unit (capacity-30) which we really like, so we decided to buy a second unit (capacity-30) to keep our basement and fruit cellar at a humidity reading of 45. Our basement rec room has wood paneling. The Danby unit which we already had kept the paneling in excellent shape. We are considering buying a third unit for our second story bedroom area. We have hot water heat, so we use the Danby units and ceiling fans instead of window air-conditioners. Alliant Energy likes that also!

Frustrating setting up the warranty

The serial number on my unit was not lining up with the submissison form to register for my warranty. It was a very frustrating process to get the warranty processed as I had to Google search the actual Model#.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does the Job

I like my Danby Dehumidifier Model DDR030BJWDB-ME as it is fairly quiet compared to my previous dehumidifier. It dehumidifies my basement (980 sq ft) in a reasonable amount of time. I am disappointed though that the fan runs continuously in manual mode as the Owner's Manual (page 7) indicates "In smart dehumidify mode or manual mode the fan will cycle on and off".
I would recommend this to a friend!
