Filter removal & cleaning instructions ?
on July 15, 2024
Posted by: Roho
Just started using it, works well so far. Didn't see instructions for locating, removing and cleaning 3 screens though. 2 screws to remove to access lower & side screens seem like the heads will strip very easily which will be a problem when trying to clean them every 2 weeks. No instructions for cleaning filters either.

Poorly designed exhaust hose
on July 22, 2024
Posted by: TMZ10
Disappointed with this unit. Cannot provide a review on its cooling or evaporative abilities due to continual issues with the exhaust hose. On other portable air conditioners I have owned the hose twists onto screw like threads on the plastic connector or it has clips to hold it in place. On this unit there are 3 level threads (not screw like for twisted threading) and the hose does not stay attached to the plastic connectors. It detaches and then the hot exhaust is released into the room. I am very disappointed with the poor hose design given the price of this unit. We have had it for 5 days and have been unable to really use it because we are constantly fighting to keep the hose secured. Debating whether to pack it up and return the unit or make an attempt to hold it together with HVAC tape, which may work but feels like we shouldn't have to jerry rig together the hose on a brand new unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi TMZ10,
I’m sorry to hear about your experience with the exhaust hose. It sounds frustrating when components don’t work as expected. This issue can sometimes occur due to alignment or fit, which might prevent a secure connection. We recommend checking the alignment of the hose and connectors for a better fit. If you need further assistance, please reach out to our consumer service team at consumerservice@danby.com.

Hi Metexx,
Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm truly sorry to hear about the issue with your portable air conditioner. It's possible that the plug connection might not be secure, which can lead to overheating. Additionally, portable units may not cool as rapidly as window models due to their design.
