Small form is a bonus but it has intermittent issues with finding files and Wi-Fi signals. Media player struggles with metadata issues and refresh rate.
They SDD harddrive makes this puppy boot in just a minute or so. My old computer that motivated me to buy this one was taking literally 20+ minutes to boot. I'm still getting use to Windows 11 but with all changes comes a learning curve. Being old school I really like controlling the machine and how it is configured and not the way the new operating systems configure the user into someone's concept of how it should be done.
I'd give this PC a 5* rating, but its WiFi just plain doesn't work. I couldn't even install my printers due to its repeatedly dropping the connection throughout the installation process. Thankfully, it has a LAN port & I am able to use the wired connection without problems. Also, I always enjoyed using HP's LiteScribe DVD drives in the past, and wish this system had one, but am glad just to have a drive. This PC replaced my 12-year-old Pavilion 440F which served me well without problems.. As to Windows 11, I've finally wrested control from it and am pleased with the result. Users unfamiliar with it need to know that it wants to put files "out there" in the cloud and settings have to be changed to change the defaults to the secondary data drive. Having the operating system separate from the data & being able to install programs on the secondary drive in my opinion is a good thing.
Everything seems to be good except for a problem I'm having staying online. Never had this problem with my old computer. I've done everything I can find to correct it but it continues. It will just drop my WiFi connection. I have to go in and manually connect back. it might last a while or not. Then it's repeat. Drop. Repeat.....My gateway is good, though it's says otherwise. My system info says it is Win.11.that I have, not Win 10. I don't know if that could be the problem. Other than that I am pretty satisfied.
