The computer wouldn’t power up on arrival and had to be returned for repair.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Lynn,
Really sorry to hear that your computer had some issues from the start. We build our devices with the intention of providing a reliable experience for our customers, so I can imagine how disheartening this must be.
If any problems persist after the repair, please keep in mind that we are always here to assist you with a variety of support options. You can get in touch with us via your preferred method at this link: support.hp.com
I will also mention that HP products have a warranty from their purchase date, so you might make use of it if you need to. To verify the warranty, look for an icon on our support site labelled “Check Warranty Status.”
I work on my computer long hours every day and I needed a fast and efficient computer. This has been nothing other than that and I am very happy with my purchase. It´s only been two weeks so far, but I couldn't be any happier.
Bought this computer to replace a Lenovo Erazer x315 which had a AMD chip set & a weekly tendency of blue screen crashes for different reasons. I've had good luck with HP's with Intel chips in the past so I purchased this one. My daily routine consists of finances on Quicken, email & web surfing. So far this computer has run flawlessly,, the ssd is a plus & I am very satisfied with it. Hopefully it will perform like this for many years to come.
I'm pretty happy with my purchase. The SSD means that startup is super-fast and programs seem to run quickly. It took me a bit to figure out how to save my data to the regular 2TB HDD, because my photos alone were filling up the SSD. But once I did, I was very happy. And it's very convenient to have so many USB3 ports on the front of the computer. The computer is very lightweight compared to my previous HP Pavilion.
