[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old HP Pavilion desktop was struggling and just couldn't keep up the pace anymore, so I purchased a new TP01-1125xt Pavilion desktop. Boot up time is half what my old computer did, and I never get lockups no matter how many programs and browser tabs I have open. The download speed is about 300 Mbs, at the top of expected on WiFi for my internet service. Access speed overall is excellent. It's also very quiet!! Shipping was very quick and on schedule. I added a protection plan to protect my computer from me.
I upgraded the RAM to 32G just because I wanted to max it out - it's very tight inside the case and there's no room to add an extra drive, so I bought an external drive case for my newer 2TB SATA drive and it connected effortlessly. I love that I can listen to music and podcasts on my bluetooth earpiece while I'm working.
This is my second HP computer within six months and I have had major issues with both, my newest one constantly drops the internet and we have not yet had the issue resolved. I'm very unhappy with the results, I can't use this desk top wirelessly, which is the only way that works for me.
The computer is fine, I am having issues with Windows 11 and Microsoft taking over my computer and have had to call HP and others to help me. It is crazy that my computer should be blocking content, especially when it is for my work or my studies. I can not open attachments nor links in my emails. I hope this isn't something AI created!
A good fast Desktop (with a DVD read/writer--that I still need). Had to expand memory 8 GB to 32 GB--not a big deal, but seeing as the cost wasn't that much, I wish HP would just build it in and charge me a few more dollars.
I've owned several HP Pavilions over the years and they have all been solid reliable machines. This one seems to be no exception.
I am very impressed with my new Desktop - its speed and its capabilities. It will take me a while to adjust to Windows 11, but that is not the HPs fault. The number of USB ports is a big plus for me as well. On the downside, the keyboard is a little too small, but I will adjust to it.
Been happy with this purchase so far, been using it about three months now. Was replacing a 10 yr old desktop unit. I like that it still has a optical drive for CDs and DVDs since i still have some older software applications that I only have the CDs for. Runs way faster than my old system as you can image and boots up really quick with the SSD drive. I also really liked that it had a larger HDD for more storage capability than what the standard SSD drive had. With digital photos, video, music, and documents and such over many years now its getting to be a large amount of data I need to store, way more than cloud spaces allow for free, but I don't want it on the cloud anyway. Wish it had two HDMI outputs for dual monitors (using VGA for second) but other than that, really like it so far.
