Astronaut GIRL Legos!!

When I was a child (1980s) my mom bought "astronaut" Legos for my brother and I to build. When Lego finally came out with "girl" Legos (Friends, Elves, etc.) I was very excited. But when I saw this set on the store shelves, I cried. FINALLY - Lego had come full circle. I had a blast building this set (assisted by my 12 year old daughter) and had flashbacks to childhood - but this set was WAYYYYY better because there were YOUNG WOMEN as characters!! I wish there hadn't been male figures included - it took away from the "girl power" that the Lego Friends builds have had in the past. The Lego sets we purchase usually end up displayed in the playroom, but this set sits on the desk in my office. I wish Lego would keep the Lego Friends going - they are huge role models for my daughter as she grows up.

Harder than expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that I was chosen to receive this Space Lego Set to review but let me say it says ages 8 and up however I am a 55 year old man and had a heck if a time lots of parts and a tad bit confusing at times.. we were able to put it together looks cool love it that's why I did 3 stars if you have the patience it is for you..I get frustrated easily..
I would recommend this to a friend!

Really Cool Set!

I always love a good collaboration and Nasa did not disappoint.. This was a very detailed build. The academy is very colorful and chuck full of fun little features. I only wish there was a little more play functionality to the rocket. Very cool set and happy to add it to my collection.

Excellent set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 8yr old daughter absolutely loves this set. It took her a few hours to assemble everything and since, she has spent hours playing with it. It has been very inspirational for her to see female astronauts. I can't say enough good things about this set, they really thought of everything with this one.

It took some time but the directions are great and tell you each step. My kids are 5 and 7 and they were able to do well with some help.
