Way Above what I expected

I purchased this originally just because it was a UCS set as I collect all the sets. I didn’t really know if I was going to build it or just keep it in the box. I decided a couple of nights ago to give it a go and wow! This was a fantastic build and the finished model is stunning. So many details and it is very sturdy. Very well thought out design and reminded me of the Kenner landspeeder I had as a child. The color of the bricks is amazing and this is probably one of my most favorite builds I’ve ever done. Thank you for the trip down memory lane!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fantastic, besides one thing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this UCS build as a gift and I couldn't have been more excited. I have built one MBS set but this was my first UCS set. This is a set I have admired but wouldn't have bought for myself. That being said I thoroughly enjoyed building this set. The attention to detail is fantastic and displaying it is beautiful. The only complaint I have is that it comes with the most basic Luke Skywalker that Lego makes, which is disappointing. I do love the exclusive C-3PO though. Thinking I'll get the UCS Razor Crest or AT-AT as my next UCS build, time will tell.

Amazing set, for adults

While this set definitely does appeal to all groups, I feel that the age ranking is accurate as this set includes several annoying-to-build *the tubes on the front* things.

I was blown away by how much fun I had with this build. Came together well, loved the details, and was pleasantly surprised on three different builds for each engine. Awesome!
Only gripe is number of stickers on the set. Stickers suck, but the set was still great!

This was a blast to build. Everything lined up, even the grill pipes. Just take your time with them and they will come out straight and even. Loved the outcome. Had not missing pieces on this one and it looks great on the shelf.

Best way to start is that it looks absolutely fabulous. Very much a fun build near the end. The start is very boring. Lots of mixed color bricks (probably for Lego to save on production costs). The engines were probably the best part along with the front end. Otherwise it was kinda boring for the first 6 bags or so.
No missing pieces to report, so I think Lego's quality control is listening as the last few sets I've built had missing pieces, but I know this set came out prior to the two sets I already built, so who knows...
Yeah overall, boring in the beginning, fun at the end and it looks great on my bookshelf.
