Varied and Durable Build

Had a blast with this one. Only prior large build was the Gunship, and this one was more straightforward and is more durable if the kids want to play. Love the color variation and the variation between different engines to avoid overly repetitive building. Spent about 6 hours and looks great!

Surprisingly Fun Build

Judging by the look I didn't expect this build to be anything but monotone and boring, but it's surprisingly decent and a lot bigger than I expected. I was missing a 2x1 grey tile but I just used two 1x1 grey tiles from the extra pieces and it works just fine.

First UCS- great build

This is my first UCS build, so I don’t really have a baseline for how this compares to other recent sets like the gunship or the A-wing. However, I thought in general this was a pretty fun build, especially how the cockpit was built- everything was a neat fit and looked really clean. My only two pieces of negative feedback are the amount of stickers that needed to be applied for a display piece like this, and the display stand itself. I wish the display stand had the option to lock into the landspeeder so if you go to move it, you can grab the landspeeder without leaving the base behind.

I know there wasn’t a huge calling for a UCS land speeder in the Lego community, but this is a set that sort of had to be made at some point. While the vehicle itself is only briefly used and in just one movie, it has been made so many times by Lego as a play set that a UCS version was certainly called for. That said, this is not a play set. It’s intended to sit on a shelf and look nice. And that it does well. This is an old-school build with almost no technic substructure—it’s all plates inside. The detailing is excellent and takes advantage of some cool techniques. I especially like how the flat silver flex tubes are suspended in their cavities. The attention to detail is excellent. The model is robust and a fun build. The C-3PO fig I super cool. I highly recommend this set as a UCS display model. If you’re wanting a play set or a challenging build experience, definitely look elsewhere as this set provides neither.

This set is amazing. It’s very sturdy and well put together. Not a great set as far as using it for play it’s definitely more of a display set. Honestly it’s a beautiful set and the build wasn’t too bad overall. The details are very nice with the set as well. The exposed engine looks really great. For the price I think this is a great set and I would absolutely recommend it.

A good build for a classic

This was a fairly easy, past due build for a classic star wars ship. Some of the build techniques were changed up a bit wich is rewarding. A symmetrical build can be a little monotonous but this was not at all that. The final product reveals a really nice display piece that is quite sturdy. Overall I'm very happy with this build.
