Maybe Jawas Have The Missing Pieces…

I can’t believe for the price of this set that there are so many reviewers with missing pieces for this set. I was considering building this with my son but I think we will pass. If Lego can’t even ensure that all of the pieces are in the box, why bother?

I was looking forward to building this but ran into a few bumps along the way specifically the engines.
Step: 257-
Why wouldn’t there be anchors on the sides of the speeder of for the rods? I could only get two out of the four rods on. When trying to put all four on-tbe front end would come off.
Step 397. The blue prong pieces that attach to the engine wing support aren’t long enough to reach the inserts to attach the engine. I attached the blue rod pieces to the support and THEN attached the engine. Work smarter not harder.
I’ve read some of the reviews and people have built this with no issues-I’ve been building for 10 years and I’ve never come across instructions like this. They’re steps where a different piece could of been used instead of the piece designated to the step.
Disappointed with this piece.

The Landspeeder is one of the most iconic vehicles from the first Star Wars movie. Happy to have this one (nearly 1:1 scale!) in my collection.

Vehicle minifig size inconstency

Generally it's kind of expected the minifigs are larger relative to the actual vehicle due to the reasonability of the build, number of required bricks and overall costs. In most cases, if the match is 1 to 1 and it's perfect, i.e. most tie fighter and x-wing builds. However in this case there are more pieces than there need to be and it's clear that the relative size here is that the speeder is much larger relative to the minifigs, by like ~30%. It's overpriced for what you get in that aspect and could have been done with 1:1 scale with less pieces but still could be an amazing build.
