Love it and need more G1's

Thought it was a fun build. The detail is really good and takes me back to first getting a G1 Optimus. It can be a little delicate transforming into the semi but honestly isn't bad. It's doing what it was designed to do, sit in my display cabinet along with my other transformers
I would recommend this to a friend!

A long overdue crossover

Back when I was a kid, I remember trying to make homemade Transformers from my Lego collection. Now, Optimus Prime has appeared, and I couldn’t be more excited. The building experience was fun, and didn’t feel repetitive (even though it was). I really appreciated the yellow highlighting on the bricks you were adding in each step of the instructions. It went a long way towards making sure I put everything on correctly.
The finished toy is sturdier than I expected which was a nice bonus. He’s got a couple weak spots but his joints are tight, and he’s mostly solid. Watch out to the swivel torso joint, and the head when transforming though. Once you know what to watch out for, it isn’t an issue. Follow the transforming instructions, and you’ll be golden
The price was reasonable, especially compared to some other collaborative sets.

One of the best sets of all time

Absolutely love this set. My two favorite toys growing up were Lego and Transformers. To see them come together and produce this set makes me feel like a kid again. The building experience is incredible, getting to watch Optimus come to life one brick at a time makes this a truly unique building experience. The completed model, quite frankly, is spectacular. I'd have to say that this is one of my favorite sets of all time, possibly my most favorite. Transforming from robot to truck and vis versa can feel somewhat clunky at times, but so did the transformer toys too so I dont really feel like I can knock it down for that. I kinda wish that the stickers in this set could be replaced with printed pieces instead. But at the end of the day this gets an 11/10 because I'm so happy to see two cornerstones of my childhood pair up for this. Hope there will be more to come like Megatron, Starscream, Bumblebee or Jetfire.

Awesome Set!

I love this set! I was missing a piece (top of hand in picture) and already ordered a spare, but with over 300 sets, this only happened twice. Some parts fall off or come loose when transforming so you have to be careful. It also leans forward a little too much, but I really like this set and I'm probably going to buy another to display both modes. I love how you can store the gun and jetpack on the truck in that mode.

Amazing set! Please make more!

I have over 100 Star Wars sets but this is the most fun I've ever had building a set. The details are spectacular and the size surprised me - I wasn't expecting it to be as big as it is. I really enjoyed the Optimus Prime facts scattered throughout the instructions. The only place I could possibly nitpick is the bumper you are supposed to swap when transforming. There is a nifty solution online where the bumper can be rotated to show the alternate version.
Please LEGO make more Transformers sets. I'll get every single one if the build quality is as good as this!

nostolgic vibes

I grew up watching the old transformers cartoons, and have been wanting a lego transformer series to come out for a long time, and the nostalgia was brought back after building it. I was very happy with Optimus and I hope to possibly see a Megatron or Bumblebee in the future.

Realistic Optimus Prime

Fun build which brought back fond childhood memories as Optimus was my favorite toy as a young child back in the mid 80's. The fact Optimus transforms like the original without having to rebuild from robot to truck is pure genius. I absolutely recommend purchasing. In fact, I purchased one while my girlfriend purchased a second: One for display and one to keep in the box.

As a long time LEGO and TRANSFORMERS consumer this is a set I thought would never officially happen but I'm glad it has and I hope we get more LEGO TRANSFORMERS sets in the near future!
