This build was fun and well worth it. The internals were challenging but amazing to see them be completed and function exactly how they were designed LEGO continues to go above and beyond and I can’t wait to see what aircraft the bring next. (Boeing CH-47) please

WOW - all I can say

WOW is all I can say about this helicopter build. I have some of the older ones and they where fun, but this one takes it to a whole new level. As others have already mentioned, the technical details and functions that are included in this build are phenomenal! The build is definitely challenging; I had retrace building steps several times as I had the wrong pieces left over at the end of a bag set. Nothing that can't be solved.
The yellow pieces where a pleasant surprise, I don't think I have any pieces similar in a bright yellow like this. My only gripe with this set is the mold marks on the lego pieces. I have not encountered this on other sets, even as recent as the Ferrari. For the pieces in this set, there is always a good side and one side that has a mold mark. It was a bit painful to make sure the good sides where outward facing.
Overall I still give this 5 stars as it is a excellent set, a very rewarding build with a lot of technical functions I have not seen in any other set.

Fantastic set

I loved everything about this build from the build of the gearbox and swashplate to the neon yellow pieces. The opening cowls on top were the icing on the cake of a incredible build

Absolute Blast!

I am a lego fan and builder since the early 90s and I never really bought into technic sets until I became and adult and had a child. With technic, not only do you get huge sets that have action and mechanical movements, but you have strong durability so that my daughter can play and beat up without damage. This particular set was amazing with its mechanical details, to include motorization controls of the landing gear, wench, and rotor speeds. I also enjoyed the colors. Well done!

Very cool set with lots of pieces. The box did come banged up with minor damage to stickers but otherwise was unharmed

Awesome set

This technic set is awesome because it uses a lot of gears and linkage to replicate the intricate movement of the cyclic and collective on the main rotor blades. The fact that you can actually use the cockpit controls makes it even better. The addition of the opening doors, gear retraction and winch movement are just icing on the cake. If you like functionality and seeing how things work, this is the kit for you.

Very long but fun build

Took me about 10 hours to build it. But that's because I messed up half way through and had to take it apart to fix it. If you pay attention to the directions it's a very cool build. Lots of moving parts the rotor assembly is very repetitive but is definitely worth them money.
