Have been waiting for a set like this!

Fantastic build, amazing functions. Very happy with the product. Minor critiques- as stated before- some (possibly unavoidable) wiggle in some areas, and as a flight nerd- following the instructions puts the blades in negative pitch, and pulling the collective up all the way barely gets it to neutral pitch meaning this would not fly! I was able to modify fairly easily to a more correct pitch range.

Great Helicopter

I really think this build was well done with a lot of incredible detail like moving joysticks in the cockpit and doors to access the cockpit. Another cool detail was the way they made the propeller speed variable like a slower speed setting if the helicopter were on the ground and then a higher speed setting for when it takes off and you fly it through the air. I felt this helicopter was done so well, it'd be like to the detail of a 1:8 scale car. Lot of functionalities and well worth the price tag to acquire it. Highly recommend you get it before it retires at the end of this year (2024).

Great for young builders to learn technic
on September 16, 2022

I originally got this for me, but then let my 6 year old son build it. It took him about 2 weeks to do it, but I had to go in and help rebuild some parts to get the motors to work. I ended up wanting home to build it so he can learn about gears and motors which honestly worked. I recommend getting this for younger builders if they have done technic before which my son has done 6 other medium sized technic builds. It is a great introduction to motorized functions in my opinion.

Still fun!

I loved the build here. I have it on a shelving unit with many other sets, but with enough clearance that I can turn it on while sitting on a conference on mute - it’s one of those sets you just can’t help but touch, but still looks awesome perched up high and turned off. Highly recommend. Oddly challenging build, as well - enjoyed it, took my time, felt much pride when I finished!!

Well Done w/ a Few Opportunities
on December 28, 2022

This was by far the most complicated build I've done/seen. You REALLY need to pay attention to each step, and there were at least a few that were very difficult to decipher which lead to having to take it apart, figure out what was in the wrong place (had to research online) and correct. Please note this is just feedback as the build was incredible and very engaging!
As for some of the comments about the tail section being flimsy - I did not experience (or feel) that was an issue. The only thing I would improve is the landing gear motorized function. It does the job but I'd rather not hear "clicks" when the gear if fully extended or retracted, and I would think with a motor it would be able to lift the unit up (if you hold it it works fine, but if you try to have it lift while it's resting on a table it's too heavy).
All-in-all I love it. Keep them coming!

I really enjoyed this build. It was challenging as most Technic sets are. The end product was great. I love all the . motorized functions except the wheels up needs a touch of manual help. The instructions could be a little better

Awesome

I got this set and loved it from the beginning. The spinning propellers, retractable gear, and winch are great. The sliding doors add cool play features. The adjustable pitch of the propellers is extremely cool. I do wish the set had a stronger Moyer.

Caught a mistake - called Lego - got it confirmed.

My 6 year old son and I are in love with this set.
We came across a suspected misprint and called Lego. A very knowledgeable employee was on the phone with us right away and confirmed that we were correct.
On page 108 (picture # 180) we built a relatively simple module correctly. However, starting with the following picture (#181) on the same page (108) and until the end of the instructions book there is a persistent misprint of how it should look/come together.
There are 2 pieces involved in the confusion: #4142132 and #4142865. Unfortunately I am not able to upload photos.
I hope my less than ideal description of the problem doesn't confuse or put anyone off. You may not even notice it. It's a wonderful set.
