I have had the HP Envy x360 for just under two months now. I am a freshman at college, and this laptop has all of my requirements and needs. I am able to take notes using the device as a tablet with the HP Pen (it is provided with the laptop!) and use it as a laptop for everything else. Zooms have gone well on this device, and the laptop only gets slightly warm during Zoom calls. I would highly recommend this laptop to anyone looking into using a device for college or high school. Also, the battery is really nice. After a day with 3 one-hour-long Zooms and other general use, my battery only went down to about 48%.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I do a lot of research before making a substantial purchase. With a laptop, I want something that will last at least five years. So I look for specs that will fulfill that expectation.
The Pros...
A higher RAM and a good display are important. The HP ENVY x360 15 Convertible has those options.
The laptop itself is solid. The display panel does not wiggle or twist. The hinges are a bit tight but that's okay. When you open the lid, the display stays put. You'll need to use both hands to open the laptop but again, this is good. I like that it's secure.
The large characters on the backlit keyboard are really helpful when typing in a dimly lit room. The keys respond well.
I haven't really put it through it's paces yet. But I often have multiple windows open. You can have YouTube open in one window, Twitter in another, while checking email in a 3rd. Yes. I do that several times a week without a problem.
The pen is a great convenience. I have yet to use all of its functions. I've been using it to edit photos like I do on my phone.
The USB C port is an advantage.
One unexpected plus is the HP Enhanced Lighting option. This lights up screen pixels to add lighting for when you're video conferencing. I've used it for a few Zoom meetings. HP gets an A+ for that one.
The battery life on this laptop is superb! I charge it every other day.
Full size HDMI port is a plus.
Camera kill switch is great!
Fingerprint reader works without trouble.

The cons...
No USB 3.0 ports. There are two standard USB ports and one USB C port. I had to buy some adapters for my USB 3.0 thumb drives. Not a huge issue but still a little annoying.
Overall, I am happy with my purchase.
