We should have read the directions - but they weren't as visible as we wold have liked- stopped short of washing it. Could you put a larger label on the stone? Thanks. Other than that, we love it! Really.

The pellets burn cleanly and impart just the right amount of flavor to each pizza. They are easy to light, using the Ooni fire starter, and burn evenly!

They work just fine, but the flavor was overpowering

Let me start by saying that I used a wood-fired clay oven with hardwoods to make pizza for years. I bought an Ooni not because the pizza wasn't delicious in that old oven (it was!) but because the design of that oven produced far too much smoke. The Ooni is so much better on that front, but despite that, the flavor of these particular pellets leave my pizza tasting like nothing but smoke. The pizza oven that produced too much smoke left the pizzas tasting less smoky than when I use these. My dad loved it when I used these pellets and I found it far too overpowering.. so it's a matter of taste, I suppose. These lit fine with a natural starter and did their job and you may love them, but if you're like me and want to taste all of your pizza flavors over a smoke flavor, you might consider trying different pellets in a fruitwood blend. Made a big difference and I'm much, much happier with the flavor profile. Luckily, pellets aren't terribly expensive, so trying a few different types is worth it, in my opinion. I was shocked at how much the type of pellets change the overall flavor.
