I use a B & W laser for most business work, but I need a color inkjet to make 8x10 photo certificates. My previous printer from another manufacturer had a hard time with photo paper since it had no manual feed slot. I wasted a lot of time and money trying to get good prints from that one.
This printer happily has a manual feed slot in the back that makes printing large photos a snap. I also like the remote printing function in addition to wireless printing.

I got this printer for Christmas. It's awesome. I couldn't have asked for anything more in a printer.

It's fast for a small desk top printer. It has lots of options. It has a great scanner. Sure fits the bill for me.

Epson XP-800

I have been purchasing Epson Printers and Scanner's for 15 years and have had mostly very good luck. This is the second All-in-One Epson product I have purchased. After several years of use my last Epson All-in-One had Auto Scanner problem. Because of Epson's track record I decided it would be cheaper to purchase a new machine because of repair cost vs a new printer. I have only had this XP-800 for a few months and so far so good. I use the CD/DVD print Label function and I only wish that Epson would have kept this function on their line of Work Force units

Got this on Black Friday for a great deal. Easy set up of printer as well as WiFi. Be sure to set default to Draft black ink only and you won't use up color for everyday printing. Quality is good for text, great for photos.

XP 800 Review

Although I have not used the scanner on the XP-800, I found the quality and speed of the printer and copier to be extremely good. I have printed both documents and photos up to 8x10 and they were of near-professional quality. However, the amount of ink used seems inordinately high and were empty after printing less than a dozen photos. This has driven printing expenses up dramatically as the ink does not come cheap. So its' use as a photo printer is limited.

Nice small home printer

Nice looking and functions well. Fairly easy to use after you go thru the menus. The ink life is better than my previous (other brand) printer. Haven't figured out the scan feature yet. Don't care for the "CD tray" just laying on the desk under the printer. It is awkward to access the #1 cassette photo paper tray and the #2 cassette regular paper tray. The "other" printer had much better access.
