1 Major Flaw

The XP 800 Small in one lives up to it's reputation in every aspect, but it has one major flaw that makes it a loser for me. The print nozzle heads clog up so it randomly prints things on a page as the ink comes out in dribbles or not at all. Epson customer service is great and they are well aware of this design flaw. The first time this happened was after 3 months of regular use. It has happened on the replacement printer after only 2 months. I only use Epson ink so that is not the problem. It was working beautifully then I installed a new ink cartridge and bam it started the problem. I typed Epson print nozzle head problem into a search engine and many reports from people having the same problem popped up. I don't have the time or desire to continuously fight this flaw. It's a real shame as the small in one is otherwise a great piece of equipment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this printer for my home office. It lasted about 7 months then started having paper feed issues. Shortly after that the ink heads would not clean and I used two set of new ink for no reason. I have since bought the wf-3540 and am taking another chance as it is rated very high. So far it is outstanding.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent little printer. I have it specifically for printing snaps at home and it does a bang-up job. Clearance price made it even tastier. The set up was simple and straight forward. The 4 x 6 photo paper tray is a little weird; pushes in too far and could be set up wrong if not careful. Print quality is just perfect, especially on the Epson semi-gloss.
