XP800 is a winner

Went with the XP800 after my older printer lost its printhead. Was anxious about installing a new system and setting up networking, but it took only two hours from tearing down the old printer to tying in both computers to a wireless net. That included time wasted trying to find my network password. Clean type and quick printing time. Nicest feature is the output tray that slides out automatically. Two suggestions: make the tray slide back in at powerdown, and let the printer power up when a job is sent to the queue.

Not a good printer. When I bought the printer all the ink was dried up. I had to spend money buying all the ink to get the printer to work. Now the printer will not connect to my computer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My printer did not last 2 years. I do not use it a great deal and the ink is expensive and does not last long. No more Epson for me.

Our new Epson XP 800 printer is fantastic. It is compact, easy to operate and best of all it produces great looking documents and pictures. The touch screen controls are well laid out and easy to interpret. The thought that went into designing the touch screen(s) is appreciated by this user. The old push button controls were not intuitive and every time a new model was released the symbol, location and function were altered.
The Epson brand has always meant quality and reliability to me. That tradition is upheld with this printer.

The printer is very compact for an all-in-one and performs its functions very well. The only complaint that I have is that it is very thirsty inkwise.

This unit was bought to replace a previous Epson (Artisan 800) that I wore out from printing (8 yrs) Church CD's. I was very disappointed to see that the "Quick Guide" book DID NOT contain any information on CD printing. The website instructions do not flow in a "user friendly" manner. Paper printing was fine, but the repetative steps to make multiple CD's is a product turn off. The Artisan CD method was better.

It took us 3 days to get the printer installed and I still could not figure out how to sign in to the program so I can print from an e-mail. The directions that came with the printer were not very clear. I do not like the tray planning in front. On the positive side, it prints great pictures.
