Epson XP-810 set up...
on December 26, 2013

The printer installation was relatively easy due to the excellent directions in the setup guide. I did run into problems with setting up the printer to my wireless network which could have been easy if only the directions would include some reference to how to print lower case letters. I spent a lot of wasted effort to solve this and finally gave up and pushed the system onto my network - it now operates smoothly.
Later, after product registration was complete, I found on the Epson website a wireless network setup video which finally did the big reveal about how to set up a wireless network using a password which requires upper and lower case numbers and letters. Since there is no shift key on the printer display, this was not intuitive as it should have been - you need to continue pressing the select key until you go through all upper case letters and then it finally displays the lower case letters that I was searching for!
A simple sentence in the otherwise excellent directions would have saved a lot of trial and error and frustration - just tell people up front how to access lowercase letters instead of just reminding them to do so!
Everything else about this setup was relatively easy - overall, a very decent product at a great price.

Hard Wired, Wi Fied, and Clouded

Great Compact, Sleek, Black, and Shiny Printer that can be connected all three ways at once. The fourth way is through a telephone line for the fax functionality. Love the automatic paper tray. At the end of the day I can push the tray in and close the control panel and not have to worry about the cat breaking anything. Also love the individual ink cartridges. This is the first printer I have had that has this capability. It used to kill me to have to throw away a color cartridge just because one of the colors ran out. I will never go back to a printer that uses a single cartridge for color. Be aware that if you use card stock with this printer you must use the manual feed slot in the rear of the printer. Did not know this when I purchased mine. Also because of its compact size you can only use letter size paper in the paper tray. If you want to use legal size you have to use the manual feed in the rear of the printer. Another spec I missed when I purchased mine. I have had my printer for a year now and no problems so far. The Epson Connect is really great and allows me to print from my iPhone using email.

Great All-in-one

The XP 800 is a fantastic All-in-one! Just installed yesterday to our Mac and the installation was fast and easy. WiFi set up was very easy. Test prints came out great. Epson packs a couple 4x6 photo pages, so we tested the photo quality prints and we're very pleased. The printer is compact, low profile and sleek looking. So far, very good printer.

Not the best for photos

I thought I would try Epson this time, but I am not happy with this printer. I was torn between the Expressions XP-800 and the Epson Workforce at a little more cost, but chose the XP-800 because it is a photo printer. It has the worst photo printing I have ever seen. Now I wish I had bought the Workforce. Next time I will know better than to go for something that is supposed to be the "best" at one thing when all around is more important.

A disatisfied customer

I am so sorry that I purchased this printer. It has the worse printing quality of any of my other printers.
The logic behind the construction makes no sense as the front panel has to open and the machine makes a lot of loud noises each time the you print a document.
I am very sorry that I did not take it back during the return period.

photo printing is abysmal

I bought the printer yesterday mainly because it was advertised as providing brilliant photos. I found the printer to be a complete failure with printing out photos which are messy, lined, and unusuable.

Disappointed

The printer is a bit flimsy and fragile. The color printing is awful - colors are not true to the actual photos and the quality of the print is poor.
Would not recommend.
