NICE AND SMALL HOME OFFICE PRINTER
on August 1, 2013

PRINTER IS SMALL AND COMPACT, YET FEATURES EVERYTHING YOU MIGHT NEED IN A SMALL HOME OFFICE OR PERSONAL USE PRINTER. PRINTER PAPER TRAY IS SMALL SO IF YOU DO A LOT OF PRINTING YOU WOULD NOT WANT THIS PRINTER. PRINTER INK FOR THIS MODEL IS HARD TO COME BY AND VERY EXPENSIVE. SO IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR CHEAP PRINTING LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE. SCANNING IS GOOD, PRINT QUALITY IS GOOD. HAS EVERY OPTION YOU COULD WANT, INCLUDING A NICE TOUCH SCREEN. AUTO DUPLEXING IS VERY NICE.

Epson XP-800

My former Epson printer wore out and I need a replacement and the XP-800 fit the bill for what I do. I was treasurer at Buncombe County Rescue Squad and had lots of reports to print off, also I do digital pictures for my Church and print the off for the Church and the members also. The printer is excellent at both jobs. I also print on the dvd I product at times for my Church and this printer does that job also. This is a good all round printer

I have used my printer for a while now and the only complaint i have is with the wireless printing. The only other complaint is paper tray does not return you have to push back.

Great printer but ink cost is not so great

This is a compact printer with lots of great features. To list a few that I particularly like:
- (ADF) auto document feed is outstanding
- copies legal size paper
- iOS airport compatible
The thing I do not like is the ink cartridges cannot be refilled easily. You need a costly gizmo to reset the chip before each fill and even so, the cartridges are only good for a limited number of refills. If that sounds like too much of a hassle, prepare to get fleeced for replacement ink cartridges. Also, the extra capacity cartridges are hard to find in brick and mortar stores.

We really like the printer; especially the two sided printing. My wife prints all her pictures on the printer. Were still learning to use everything else. What we do use is great.

Small footprint

Easy to set up on wifi network. Printer clients are PC's and Mac's concurrently. PC software is more graphic than the Mac but both get the job done. Excellent printer for home use.

IT'S A BEAUTY

The initial software setup CD went well. I'm getting a quick education about the XP-800, which captured my interest by the catchy name (not the price) and many features. So far, I like it yet am trying to understand the full function of the "auto-extend" tray(it appears that it must be pushed back in place). And I cannot use my Sony camera memory stick in the slot for MS Duo--Won't fit. Also, top lid is heavy and doesn't stay up without holding it or must stand it straight up; I thought it might snap backwards. Overall, I really like the smoothness and quiet operation of this device.

It's OK.... does what I want it to do.

I bought this to replace another Epson printer. The salesperson sold me on this model. I like that it has a smaller footprint and quieter than my previous Epson. I don't like that I'm unable to find high-capacity ink refills at any of the local office supply stores.
