This review will be short and sweet.
A. The equipment (right out of the box) went together flawlessly, worked as described the first time, and has continued to do so.
B. Start-up instructions were clear, concise, and easy to follow.
C. The only technical experience required was to be able to read and follow the directions.
Loading the software was a simple step and again, all you needed to do was read and follow the directions and follow the required steps.
D. This is a quality product with great supporting software. I would recommend it.

Not Recommended For Artists

I design paper products and sell them to crafters on etsy. The quality of my printed sample designs that I show them is critical to making a sale. I need a printer that will give me nice, accurate color on white cardstock. The color from this machine is dreary compared to my last printer. The cartridges don't hold much ink either. I wouldn't recommend this to an artist or photoshop user.

Disappointment

I had read reviews that ink usage for this printer was somewhat high, but chose to buy it anyway. I wish I had heeded those warnings as the ink usage for this printer is alarmingly high! While the quality of the printing is quite good (hence 3 stars), I wish I'd researched further and purchased something else.

It sure smudges a lot. Many times I have
to run a job two or three times because the edges come through the printer with black smudges. It's not as good at the last Epson I had.
When you change cartridges, you have to do "check nozzles", etc two to three times in order to remove all the lines that appear on the finished project. And it seems I'm putting in new cartridges faster than ever.

The first unit would not print black and white only color. Return it to the store for a second unit. Same problem. I returned the second one for a refund.

I find this all in one design to be an after thought with regards to the paper and photo paper trays. They hold very little paper and are not user friendly in any way.
The black copies are not crisp , which i am used to with another brand.
I do find the photo copies beautiful. Excellent color and very crisp..
My artisan 810 which i have as well is a much better all in one.
I bought XP 800 on the recommendation of Consumer Reports.. The made it number two.
I can live with it but it's strictly good for occasional use.

Beware

Your advertising did not stress strongly enough that this printers primary function is to print pictures. If I had know that I would not have purchased it. I do some pictures but primarily use it for text and copying. It is too slow for those functions!
