I am very pleased with this printer so far (I've had it for about a week). It was easy to set up & get connected to my network. Right now I have it on my wired network. I would have preferred to have a better way to enter the network password than just the telephone dialer and having to press the same "key" several times to cycle through the letters. The fax setup worked easily & I have been able to send several faxes with no problems at all. All of my printouts have been very sharp & fast. The test pages & non-photo paper pictures look really good. I haven't tried printing a regular photo yet.

so far it prints great pictures after you find all the settings and figure out settings for different papers and where to put the paper. So far Epson has updated the drivers and software. I didn't have to do a thing.

This my 3rd XP-800 withing 6 months

We purchased the Epson XP-800 and have had nothing but problems with it since we got it. The ink cartridge situation is a joke. There are 2 black cartridges. Well the larger cartridge runs out of ink often. Also, we have had to return the printer to Epson for a replacement twice. We are on our 3rd printer in this time frame. I will give customer support an A+ on how they handle the situation. I would say that this is protocol with this printer model. So they have the process down pat.

Did Not Meet My Needs!

The Epson XP 800 produces vivid color pictures but is not that sharp on paper. I was also initially impressed with the capabilities, compactness and features, but found it does not meet the demands my small business requires. Most frustrating was inability to override the color option when just one of the 4-pack cartridges was depleted. Even the black one has a short life span and needs to be replaced frequently, and these cartridges are expensive! This product is more suited for minimal personal use; therefore, I cannot recommend it to small business owners who don't have another printer to fall back on.

My Epson Printer

My daughter bought me an Epson all-in-one printer for Christmas several years ago and I love it! However, my youngest daughter and her school mate was using it one day to print out some school documents and ruined it. The problem is... it doesn't recognize that it has paper in the document feeder therefore it won't feed the paper through either the auto feeder or the back feeder. What do I do, or how can I fix the problem? However, I LOVE Epson product's :-)!

trouble with paper feed

We cannot get the photo paper to print from the small cassette or from the rear. The paper starts and then we get an error message. This model was replaced once with the same problem! We have tried everything. The regular sized cassette works fine.

First class in all respects, high quality scanning & printing. Uses less ink than my other printer. Appears to be quite fast on photos, saving time. I needed a water resistant ink for a special application & the Claria Ink did the trick.

wastes lots of ink

I bought this new late July 2013, now Mar 2014 and I just ran out of a few ink cartridges and replaced them with genuine Epson ink carts. I had to run cleaning 2 times each time I replace one cartridge and the cyan I just installed 2 days before is now 1/2 empty already from all the cleanings. NOT a good track record for ink. Before this I was very happy with the quality of printing, but way to expensive on ink usage.
