This printer is awesome. I have made several cards using cardstock and this printer handled it like a champ. Printing is excellent quality.

The EXPRESSION PREMIUM XP800 is the easiest and fastest All-in-One to install, so far. The instructions are and in plain understandable language.
The quality of the output is better than all of my previous printers.

Epson XP-800 Software could use updating
on September 17, 2013

I just installed this software to my Mac. I set it up wirelessly thru a network thinking everything would work. I purchased this product because I wanted a wireless printer and the direct CD/DVD printing capability. I also read much about the reputation of Epson printers. The CD Print software does not recognize the printer unless connected with a USB cable. Then there is a problem scanning direct from the printer to the PC that warns of a communication error. The control panel on the printer does not auto detect or allow for the section of the flatbed of the document source. When I try to scan using the Epson Scan software there are no provisions to auto detect or select if the scan is from the flatbed or the document feeder either. It only scans from the flatbed. However when I use the image capture software on my Mac it allows for the selection of tshe flatnbed or document feeder and the printer works fine scanning. I spent the better part of a day restarting both the printer and the computer. I reinstalled and even updated the software and I,m truly disappointed with this nice printer

Everythings works as advertised. No problems so far. I've been using this printer for only a couple of months, so this is only a first impression.

new XP 800 series from 837

The XP 800 SUCKS DOWN INK. My 837 was NOT that way.
I took 800 due to BESTBUY not being able to replace my troubled 837 with another 837. I like Epson's I have another photo mate to do small 4 x6 only. I like being able to PRINT ON TOP OF C D's & D V D 's. With the 800 & 837.

I THINK THIS ALL IN ONE IS A SLIP UP. IT USES TON"S OF INK. FOR WHAT COSTS,I MAY HAVE TO CHANGE.

I have now used the new printer for over a month with excellent results. Used almost daily, especially for music, I have yet to replace any of the ink cartridges. One good thing I'd like to pass along is that the printer can be wired to a desktop and still used by Wi-Fi with my laptop near my piano and with an iPad in other parts of the house . An excellent printer, very vesratile, quiet and thus far, economical.
