What an experience

Tech help is great. After replacing the original machine and replacements three times, the last machine performs as expected. Now if it came with a good, clear, not intuitive set of instructions, maybe I could get it to print envelopes the first time without trials on paper, not sending the envelope through unprinted. I'm reluctant to call tech support because I don't want to install another new printer.
All in all, it is a good product, we like it as a straight printer and am sure that if we explored and were instructed properly and clearly to use the additional features, it would be a great printer.

XP-800 Good So Far

Good desktop size. Windows 7 setup with a wired Ethernet connection was seamless. No issues at all which seems like a first whenever installing a new piece of hardware on a network. Print speed is good, color good, overall a 5/5. Only thing I wish they put into this design is a 250 sheet paper tray, simply for the convenience.

Follow the directions

I almost didn't buy this printer. I read all the reviews and alot of folks were having problems with setting up this printer. Well I took a chance. So far so good. The set-up was simple, just follow the directions. It was simple.
I would recommend this to a friend!

SOFTWARE (APPLE) PROBLEM

When scanning in a diisc immage, it looks
as if full size. in the pictures file.
the problem is when it is imported into
PRINT CD program, it is imported not
full size but as a 2X2 picture. it then has
to be jocked arround till is up to the full
size for printing. This problem does not
show up when I am working from another
computer running VISTA.

XP800 is a compact printer that takes up little space.prints at acceptable speed and copies are very good,a good appearance.Drawbacks are small paper storage and unable to set the default paper size as 8.5X11. I tried everything to change the default paper size from 5X7 including time with Epson tech support to find apparently the change is not an option resulting in each time you print you have the extra step to change the paper size.disappointing.

I am very pleased with my small-in-one printer. It's very quick and easy to use even for someone who's not a techie. It starts up quickly.

Just got this printer. Easy to setup. Nice options. Only problem is app for my Galaxy cell phone had to go online to get app, and when used it could not change paper size.
I would recommend this to a friend!
